Concerning the explanation of the five essences, etc. Concerning the explanation of the five essences, etc. The five essences are: the essence of flesh is the central channel, the essence of blood is Atung Me, the essence of bone is the bindu Haṃ (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉字字面意思: ཧཾ ), the essence of breath is the life-force wind, and the essence of mind is the alaya consciousness. There are three types of life: the moving and shaking is the life of the bindu, the going and coming is the life of the wind, and the clear, unchanging is the original life. From the Abhidharma it says: "That which protects is fasting, which is the name for eating little food; fasting is the name for having nothing little." Possessing the six elements is: skin, flesh, blood, bone, marrow, and the white and red elements, these are the six. The afflictive obscuration is attachment, hatred, etc. The cognitive obscuration is the clinging to truth. The subtle cognitive obscuration is habit, the habit of appearance and mind, at the end of the ten bhumis, like a shooting star, it obscures the face of awareness, therefore it is an obscuration. The karmic obscuration is the sin that is together with the sin of self-nature. Concerning entrusting activities: like a king, pervading generally, 1; like a minister, pervading in all directions, 2; like a messenger, striking at the essential point, 3. Warmth and wind are said to be life. In general, Dzogchen, the Great Perfection of Clear Light, has a history of transmission, and there are pith instructions transmitted from it. That is to say, the transmission from Dharmakaya Vajradhara to the present root guru must be like a golden thread, not stained by the tarnish of broken samaya. The transmission is one where the power of blessing has not diminished, and the essential points of the practice transmitted from it are not mistaken. The pith instructions of the transmission are the four ripening empowerments and the liberating trekchö. Trekchö also has: the preliminary practice of demolishing the house of the mind, the main practice of recognizing awareness, and the subsequent practice of maintaining the practice, these three. The preliminary practice is to investigate thoughts, search for faults, and examine the origin, destination, and dwelling place. The main practice is to introduce the power of the transference of blessing to the faithful person, and to introduce the view of reality to the wise person, demolishing the house first, and then introducing the main practice. For the intelligent person with self-arising awareness, the meditation is sought from the view. For the diligent person, the recognition is from the experience of meditation.

The introduction is: Because appearance is the mind with an object, seeking the view through meditation. The subsequent practice is: dream and bardo path carrying. Thögal is: the preliminary practices of outer, inner, and secret are well separated, and the main practice is introduced into the mandala of self-appearing wisdom, and the four seats and the four visions of the path are brought to completion. The first stage is to introduce awareness by stripping it bare. The second stage is that in the two, abiding and scattering, the abiding aspect, the clear aspect, emerges, free from attachment to practice. The scattering aspect, the liberating aspect, emerges, free from the deluded aspect. That is also called scattering and abiding, and it is also called awareness standing and abiding. Thus it is said. From Self-Liberation of Samsara and Nirvana: The essence is pure from the beginning. Before realizing the primordial purity, if emptiness is cultivated separately, it is said to be lost to nature. In the great expanse of self-awareness, if the spontaneous accomplishment of cause and effect is not known, seeking another result from the path of emptiness is lost on the path. Far beyond the two of abandonment and antidote, abiding in the natural state like the unraveling of a snake's knot, cultivating another antidote on top of experience is lost to the antidote. Without realizing the spontaneous accomplishment of clarity and emptiness, following after thoughts and concepts, denigrating the absence of cause and effect, this is the emptiness of exaggeration. The section on distinctions. From the Sutra: Non-grasping is the essence of awareness, giving is the separation from all grasping. Not abiding in any of the four or eight extremes is morality. Being free from anger and not fearing any object is patience. Not striving in any ultimate physical, verbal, or mental virtuous activity is diligence. The absence of a mind that grasps at objects and subjects is non-thinking, which is meditation. Also, being free from the object of focus for phenomena and the possessor of phenomena is not focusing on anything, which is wisdom. If an opposing factor arises, the antidote to abandonment is volition and the one who wills. The Mind-Only school says: If it is only volition, there is no continuity, and if it is only habit, then it will follow even in the state of abandoning. If there is no volition at the time of mental wandering, etc., then how can there be vows and non-vows? Because the distinction of vows has not destroyed the habits, both vows and non-vows exist. The Madhyamika school says in the Bodhicaryavatara: After obtaining the intention to abandon, it is taught as the perfection of morality.
