Oral Instructions of the Precious Lama. Oral Instructions of the Precious Lama. The oral instructions of the Precious Lama are: On the lotus and sun-moon cushion on the crown of one's head, Lama Guru Rinpoche is the embodiment of the union of the Three Jewels, the union of the Three Roots, and the union of the Three Kayas. In short, from all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, up to the close Dharma friends, distant Dharma friends, mixed Dharma friends, and Vajra brothers, visualize them as the essence of the union of all refuges. This is how to meditate on the "All-Unifying Jewel." Take refuge, generate Bodhicitta, and pray with intense devotion. If there is no faith, it is not right. Ultimate truth can only be realized through faith. Without faith, one cannot realize the key points from Sutra to Tantra. Generate faith, receive the four empowerments, and after the light dissolves, mix your mind with the Guru's mind, then by the power of that faith, all deluded perceptions will scatter like the knots of an iron cage. The three, dullness, agitation, and sinking, are like the fog clearing from a great mountain. Everything dissolves into the Dharmadhatu and does not waver. What more could one want? One must merge oneself with the minds of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions. This is for the fortunate, it is a profound key point. What good is that? First, correct the motivation. Second, the preliminary practices of taking refuge and generating Bodhicitta. The main practice is prayer and merging the mind with the Guru's mind. Finally, dedication and aspiration, and rest. In this way, one must divide the day into one hundred and sixty-five sessions, which is the intention of the "One Golden Pill of Black Bean." Whether it is one hundred sessions or about eighty sessions, it is better to have short sessions and many repetitions. Otherwise, what good is a short session? If one can spend day and night in long periods of meditation, that would be great. But long periods of meditation are not easy. Alas, with long periods of meditation, the three, dullness, agitation, and sinking, are like a great mountain covered in fog. It is like having one's head covered, and before one knows it, one loses the state of mind and Guru's mind being inseparable. At that time, whether one does dedication or not, alas. If someone says that is not the case for me, I can maintain a long period of meditation, then let him come and debate with the god I don't like. Otherwise, short sessions are not possible, and it will definitely be interrupted.

You must generate conceptual thoughts. For example, if an old man carries a bag and goes to chase marmots, if he doesn't prevent the marmots from entering their holes, what will he eat? If he doesn't eat, how will he live? Similarly, you must generate conceptual thoughts. If you don't allow conceptual thoughts to arise, what will you liberate? If you don't liberate, what will you meditate on? If you don't liberate, you are not a Buddha. Trekchö is the path, Tögal is the path of light. If it is another sect, they will allow thoughts of the three poisons, such as desire, to arise greatly. Like a poor person finding a jewel in the palm of their hand, you have the lama, the Three Jewels, like a rocky mountain behind you. At that time, if you pray to the lama and rest in equanimity, desire will be liberated into bliss and emptiness. Like that, if all the conceptual thoughts that arise are liberated as they arise, you will grasp the path of Dzogchen, do you understand? Do you know how to practice? Nowadays, some people pretend to practice. If you let them speak, there is no refuge and bodhicitta at the beginning, no dedication at the end, no need to mix mind and intention, they are as confused as old Han Chinese merchants. Like beggars resting, they just stare blankly. Not to mention Dzogchen, they don't even have the cause for becoming a Buddha, do they? Instead of that, it would be better to recite the essence of the eighty-four thousand dharmas, the king of dharma, the six-syllable mantra, well. If you don't even like that. Alas, some people don't allow thoughts to spread, they block them with their eyes wide and red. As soon as a thought arises, the mind becomes uneasy and chaotic. When the session ends, the body becomes rough and stiff. The consciousness becomes angry and irritable, how can that be right? If you listen to me, resolve to complete many sessions with the three aspects of preparation, main practice, and conclusion, that would be good. If you don't listen, no matter how far or near, you will come here to argue with me, won't you? Let you stay. Goodbye. Since relying on the lama, if you don't do as he says, breaking his instructions is the main cause of going to hell, so don't come here to pile sin upon sin. It's meaningless. Instead of that, start with your own family and do as they say. If you can keep one fasting vow, that would be great. If not, recite mani. Confess your sins and stay there. Goodbye, may you have a long life. Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ vajrasattva hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om Vajrasattva Hum). Old monks, you who despise the gods.
