I pray to you, the powerful and independent one! Your body is the mandala deity of the Victorious Ones, Your voice is the great secret sound of the indestructible vajra. You are the crown ornament of all the upholders of the teachings, wearing the maroon robes. I pray to you, the embodiment of the Three Jewels! With the profound nectar essence of the great secret ripening liberation, With the joyful feast of the oral transmission's rippling waves, You satisfy the assemblies of fortunate beings. I pray to the feet of the King of Dharma! Compassionate protector, seeing, hearing, and remembering you, And the assemblies of secret holders who respectfully worship the dust of your feet, You lead them onto the unerring path of goodness. I pray to you, who make every connection meaningful! The assemblies of gurus, deities, and dakinis, With showers of flowers, rainbows of light, and so on, With many wondrous signs, radiant and clear, I pray to you as you depart to the pure realms! Thus, the Victorious Ones have said, That offering to a single pore of a qualified guru, Is more excellent than offering to all the Buddhas of the ten directions. Therefore, with the merit of praising you with heartfelt reverence, May I and all beings as vast as the sky, In every lifetime, birth after birth, Be born at the feet of the venerable and holy one, And drink the nectar of your speech. Having obtained the leisure and fortune of a human body, urged on by impermanence and death, Knowing all the sufferings of the three realms of samsara, Taking on the burden of guiding beings, may I walk the pure and profound path, And meditate single-pointedly in a secluded place. The supreme worldly and transcendental accomplishments, Ripening the mind-stream through the water of empowerment, Through the common and uncommon preliminaries, May I tame my mind-stream with profound practice. Possessing the supreme vajra body, endowed with bonds and whirling wheels, Awareness like space, cutting through the illusions of conceptual thought, Endowed with unwavering, luminous wisdom and bliss. May I perfect the yoga of initial virtue. The bindus of the sun and moon dissolve into Rahu. The flowing stream of the melting moon essence of Chandali, Firmly established on the forehead, the unchanging bliss of melting. May I perfect the yoga of intermediate virtue.
