Teachings of Chakhen Lorsang Gyatso TSR5 - Endless Praise to Jetsun Kunsang Chenpo Endless Praise to Jetsun Kunsang Chenpo Endless Praise to Jetsun Kunsang Chenpo Namo Guruve (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་ཝེ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरुवे, Sanskrit Romanization: Namo guruve, Literal meaning: Homage to the Guru)! In boundless realms, countless lineages dance. Five wisdoms complete, the embodiment of the three Vajras. Gathering of six, Lord of the Vajra-holding wheel. I pray to the all-pervading supreme Lama. Assembly of all Buddhas, refuge for fortunate beings. Eighty-four thousand, treasury of profound Dharma. Sun of speech, chief of the assembled Sangha. I pray to the peerless supreme refuge. In the past, in the age of the destroying world. In the noble land, the accomplished master Lavapa. Here in the land of snows, known as Kunsang Chöje. I pray to your feet, whose kindness is unmatched. The happiness of the three realms is a play of illusion. All the homes of samsara are like nests of poisonous snakes. Seeing this, you went to the peaceful forest of the Buddha's teachings. I pray to the feet of Kunsang Chenpo. Complete with all qualities, virtuous spiritual friend. Seventy-two teachers, you attended with reverence. So many profound and vast Dharma teachings. I pray that you have heard them all. You happily roam in the lotus pond of the three trainings. The golden net of the three vehicles adorns your face. You do not tire of the burden of the Buddha's precious teachings. I pray to the lord who drinks the two nectars. Vast learning, its end is not seen. Waves of thought-born wisdom surge in thousands. Meditation is rich with billions of precious jewels. I pray to the complete ocean of teachings. Composition like blue clouds, a treasure of well-spoken nectar. Explanation with a hundred melodious sounds, friend of the discerning peacock. Debate like a rain of fire, destroyer of the mountain-like opponents. I pray to the great scholar, the lord of the wise. View free from extremes, vast expanse of the sky. Meditation of clear light, possessing a mandala of jewels. Action spontaneous, spreading a web of a thousand lights. I pray to the friend of the accomplished lotus. A thousand eyes of wisdom, seeing all that is knowable. Compassionately protecting the three realms, the immortal city. Powerfully destroying the strong armies of demons. I pray to the guide, the lord of activity. Whispered lineage, like a heap of white silver. Rivers of the four empowerments, flowing daily in all directions. Purifying all the stains of the three doors of the fortunate. I pray to the source of the ocean of the Buddha's teachings. In the Vajra city, The sound of profound secret teachings resounds in all directions. A dancer intoxicated with the bliss of great joy, I pray to the venerable Heruka! Merely seeing his form dispels all obstacles. The laughter of emptiness pacifies the world of dualistic clinging. The Vajra message spreads throughout the three realms. I pray to the one who completely triumphs over all! With the great, infallible ship of activity, Rescuing sentient beings from the ocean of samsara to the far shore, Leading them to the island of great bliss and jewels. I pray to the great captain who guides beings! To those who uphold faith as the crest jewel on their heads, Relying with one-pointed devotion and making offerings, Granting all needs and desires with unfailing compassion. I pray to the venerable wish-fulfilling jewel! In the northern land of snow mountains during times of strife, Proclaiming the profound oral teachings. There is no greater lion than you. Thinking of you, I pray from the depths of my heart! In all lifetimes, birth after birth, May I and all beings connected to me, Have no other refuge or hope than you. Please protect us with great compassion, never parting! Like Sadāprarudita and Norzang Zhönnu, Serving you, the supreme guide, with body, speech, mind, and possessions, Pleasing you with sincere devotion, May your mind and my mind become one, grant your blessings! Now that this precious opportunity of leisure and endowment is obtained, Without being distracted by meaningless worldly affairs, In secluded mountains and medicinal forests, May I strive to practice the supreme path, grant your blessings! Worldly riches are like dew on the tip of a blade of grass, Like a bubble, this life is momentary. Knowing that karmic results are certain like a shadow, May I properly adopt what to accept and reject, grant your blessings! In the midst of samsara, which is like a terrifying pit of fire, Seeing no opportunity for happiness anywhere, May I now be born in the desirable, cool palace of liberation, Grant your blessings! Having obtained the root of the teachings that show the staircase to liberation, Well maintaining the discipline of a renunciate, With strong mindfulness and awareness, single-pointedly, Protecting the vows as if they were my life, grant your blessings! These beings who have been cared for since beginningless time, Dwelling in the unbearable realm of samsara, Aroused by unfeigned love and compassion, May I generate the supreme Bodhicitta, grant your blessings!
