Praise to the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Praise to the Bhagavan Shakyamuni Praise to the Bhagavan Shakyamuni exists. Om Svasti! Well-being, benefit, and happiness are at the source of all beings, the Victorious One. Whoever has a little faith, all perfections will arise for them as well. Because the foolish are of little merit, they also lack faith in the Victorious One, and turn away from the sacred Dharma. These are like obvious cattle. However much recitation and speech there may be, one praise of virtue is supreme. Or hold the vow of silence. If speaking, may it be to speak of this. In this or other realms of the three worlds, if there is no one equal to you, how much less any superior defilement? To the Unequaled, the Unmatched, and the Equal, I bow down. Since no other example has been found, it is thought to use the All-Seeing One, etc., as examples. But since you and they are inseparable in wisdom, no example is found. With love that establishes all beings in benefit and happiness, and with compassion that protects from suffering and its causes, without near or far, with immeasurable equanimity, abiding in the four Brahma-viharas, I bow to you. Like a mother grieving for her only child, always with love, day and night, in the six periods, without distraction, you watch over suffering beings. I prostrate to the one with the eyes of great compassion. With all words, meanings, and definitive terms, the protector of beings has inexhaustible eloquence. Subduing all sentient beings who engage in afflictions, the supreme among humans, the chief of subduers, I respectfully prostrate. Although you always abide in equanimity, with spontaneously accomplished, unobstructed wisdom, you cut through the doubts of all sentient beings. Lion of speech, I prostrate to you. Like setting fire to a flourishing red anthill, with various teachers, Yama, fire, etc., washing away all the stains of wrong speech, I respectfully bow to that great sage. Those who speak of the essence of the self, etc., as the agent, are in a state of extreme ignorance. Striking the great drum of the Dharma of emptiness, I prostrate to you who have become the god of gods. With the sound of the bell of dependent origination, skillfully calling the feast of nectar of the three realms, I prostrate to Gautama, the banner of the precious treasure of the unprecedented Dharma. In the world, making distinctions of self and what belongs to self

Those who speak of knowledge are caught in the thicket of views, Those who do not perceive any individual in anything, I bow to the one who proclaims the lion's roar of selflessness. Although phenomena never have inherent existence, Yet there is no deception in the way of cause and effect, The Protector, having known and seen this, taught it, I praise the one who liberates beings through the Middle Way. Existence and non-existence, reality and unreality, extremes and middle, etc., Are all mutually dependent, merely imputed by the mind. Birth and cessation, self and other, Without abandonment or equality, Seemingly contradictory but not contradictory, I prostrate to the wisdom of the Victorious Ones. You are under the power of great compassion, Therefore you show various forms and conduct, Although you have been enlightened since beginningless time, You still show lifetimes to the very end. You, in the past, even with afflictions, Have given countless kingdoms, consorts, beautiful women, And even heads and bodies, At that time, I bow to you, the worthy of offerings. Gods, sages, Saraswati, And lions, tigers, and rabbits, etc., The four elements and other beings', All necessities are manifested as emanations. Various crafts, And various forms of knowledge-mantras are also shown, Whatever small amount of virtue there is, All of that is due to the power of the Protector. Activities without end, Who can contemplate this? Without wisdom, what can giving, etc., Enter into liberation? If there is no accumulation of merit, Even wisdom cannot extinguish suffering. Whoever has perfected the two accumulations, Has attained the non-abiding nirvana, Perfecting the six perfections, Like you, Protector, there is no other. Even the lowest of your retinue, Becomes an adornment of the three realms. Although you have shown many methods and mental activities, And all the differences of objects, Yet here, the non-conceptual and, The individually conceptual ones criticize each other. The limit of your past enlightenment, Even the wise cannot fathom, Yet the way of perfecting the accumulations for three countless eons, Is also repeatedly shown later. Although you have surpassed the path and the grounds, You also show the way of ascending the ten grounds, Billions of fireflies, Cannot illuminate the earth with its mountains, Just as one sun illuminates everything, So is the difference between the merit of the noble and the childish. The body made from limitless causes, Also has immeasurable qualities, Each mark and sign, Also arises from immeasurable merit and wisdom.
