Generating Bodhicitta. O venerable Tara, protector, yourself, With the blessings of body, speech, and mind, I pray that you now bestow the four empowerments completely. May the innate great bliss arise in the body, May the power of mantra be firm in speech, May the clear light wisdom dawn in the mind. May the qualified Lama now bestow blessings. From the Lama's forehead, throat, heart, and navel, Light rays emanate and dissolve into my four places. Of body, speech, mind, and wisdom vajra, Bless and may I obtain the four empowerments. Again, with the water of the vase, bestow the vase empowerment, With the bodhicitta, bestow the secret empowerment, With the bliss of union, bestow wisdom Wisdom, And also the fourth empowerment of the ungrasping Great Seal. There is no other hope than you, Lord of Dharma. There is no other refuge than you, Jewel. Inseparably, like water poured into water, Bless me to realize the state of being without separation. The Lama dissolves into the nectar of bodhicitta, Filling the four chakras, obtaining the four empowerments. The Lama, one's own mind, inseparable, in the state of Dharmakaya, Abide in the state of spontaneous great perfection, free from conceptual elaboration. This is the supreme Guru Yoga, there is no doubt that it bestows Buddhahood in one lifetime, in one body. Gyalkhampa Taranatha wrote this at Pelzang Den at the age of twenty-nine.
