Instructions on the Three Essential Points. Instructions on the Three Essential Points. Here are the Instructions on the Three Essential Points. Om Svasti. Here are the oral instructions of the noble Avalokiteśvara, the instructions of the venerable Mitra Jogi, and a concise practice of the Three Essential Points: In this life, meditate on the constant yidam. At the time of death, meditate on the transference of consciousness. In the bardo, meditate on the blending. Constant meditation is the key to everything. It is said. Meditating in this life, the constant yoga, has two parts: preliminary and main practice. The first is: Remembering impermanence and suffering, Generate great compassion. It is said. That is, to analyze the current body, mind, and appearances, and to realize that all of this is impermanent and subject to destruction. Especially, there is no certainty when death will come. At the time of death, nothing other than Dharma will be of any help. After death, one will not go without a source. None of the current enemies, friends, enjoyments, and appearances will follow. Due to the power of good and bad karma, when taking birth in the six realms, wherever one is born, there is no happiness, only suffering. All of the three realms of samsara are suffering. Upon careful examination, one realizes that countless sentient beings of the six realms, kind parents, are experiencing endless suffering, which is truly heartbreaking. I will liberate them from suffering. These are the three aspirations, which should be meditated on continuously. For these three aspirations, each can be practiced in one session, or all three can be combined into one session. The second is: On the crown, the lama; in the heart, the deity; Meditate on your own mind as unborn. It is said. Among the three key points, the first is meditating on the lama on the crown: On one's own crown, the essence of the Dharmakaya is a crystal stupa with a thousand doors. The essence of the Sambhogakaya is adorned with all kinds of jewels. The essence of the Nirmanakaya is that in each door resides a Buddha. The essence of the three kayas inseparable is the root lama in person or in the form of Vajradhara inside the vase of the stupa. With devotion and longing, pray to the precious lama, the essence of the unborn Dharmakaya. Pray to the precious lama, the essence of the unceasing Sambhogakaya. Without abode

I supplicate the Lama Rinpoche, the essence of the incarnate body! I supplicate the Lama Rinpoche, the essence of the three kayas of great bliss! Please bless me! Thus supplicated, it dissolves into oneself as a stream of light or nectar, and one rests in the state of inseparability of all the root and lineage lamas and one's own mind. The second key point, the instruction for meditating on the yidam in the heart, is: In one's own heart, in the center of a thousand-petaled red lotus, meditate on the noble Avalokiteśvara Khasarpaṇi or the noble four-armed Avalokiteśvara, whichever you prefer. At his heart is a moon with (ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:hrīḥ), and on each of the thousand petals is a white A. With devotion, respect, and love for the yidam in the heart, recite (ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧྲཱིཿཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hrīḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:oṃ āḥ hrīḥ hūṃ) and (ཨོཾ་མ་ཎི་པདྨེ་ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ,汉语字面意思:oṃ maṇi padme hūṃ) as much as possible. Finally, they all melt away like light, dissolving into one's own body, speech, and mind. Then, rest in that state, as if a rainbow has vanished into the sky. The third key point, the instruction for meditating on one's own mind as unborn, is: Adjust the body, let the breath be natural, and abandon thoughts of the three times. In a natural state, look nakedly at your own face, free from all grasping. This is using the naturally abiding ground as the path. Whatever arises, whether it is the appearance of forms, sounds, smells, tastes, and tactile sensations, or the arising of thoughts such as joy, sorrow, high, and low, simply recognize its own nature and rest without fabrication. Then, it will appear without difference from the original state. This is the instruction for using the naturally unchanging path as the path. It is also permissible to introduce it through the four doors of view, meditation, action, and result, which will be explained below. The main practice is divided into four or five sessions. Second, the instruction for transference, which is practiced at the time of death, is: After offering one's own body as a sacrifice, completely abandon all attachments. Through the union of the channels of light, project the mind to the Tuṣita heaven. It is said that three human skull bowls appear in front of oneself. The skull is placed on top of it after being struck around the hairline, so that it becomes a very large container. One's own mind transforms into an image of Avalokiteśvara the size of a thumb, which emerges from the center of the body, and the body completely enters into the skull. The deity image of one's own mind recites (ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:oṃ āḥ hūṃ), and one's own body transforms into a great ocean of nectar. Lama, yidam, Buddha, Bodhisattva, noble
