Hoping with earnest longing, "Please protect me," Thinking, "This demon will surely harm me," Drowning in the swamp of harmful thoughts, fear, and doubt. These are all appearances of the mind; similarly, Acceptance and rejection, love and hate, one deceives oneself. Worrying that illness and aging will become more severe, Hoping that unwanted suffering will dissipate. Desiring the fruit of Dharma to be happiness in this life, Complaining to the Three Jewels when wishes are not fulfilled. The joys and sorrows of this life arise from past karma, If one is content with whatever arises, the mind will be at peace. In the future, the benefits of Dharma will not deceive you, Focus your mind and generate faith. If one develops even a little experience and merit, The demon of pride will follow, Therefore, first recognize yourself, Reflect on the reasons why pride is meaningless. In order to exhaust past sins, If suffering arises, think of it as fulfilling a wish. Suffering, unless subdued by wisdom, Does not actually exist; look closely at yourself. In reality, suffering is rootless and baseless, In the relative truth, whatever karmic appearances arise, Do not artificially manipulate; happiness comes from being without hope and doubt. However, pray to the kind lama. In short, believe in the law of karma, Maintain unwavering faith in the Three Jewels, Be unattached to anything, and recognize your own nature. Always connect with pure aspirations, Abandon hope and doubt, and worship the supreme refuge. These three are also important keys. If these few instructions touch your heart, That is my lasting wish. Therefore, please regard this as the confession of a fool. If any good can arise from this, May it be dedicated to all beings as a cause for liberation. May the ocean of your wise and noble mind, Be filled with the waters of the supreme Dharma nectar!
