A Concise Collection of Essential Points Encompassing the View, Practice, and Meditation of the Two Stages Without Omission A Concise Collection of Essential Points Encompassing the View, Practice, and Meditation of the Two Stages Without Omission Om Swasti! Whose wisdom, a garland of a hundred lights, Is well placed upon the shoulder of the eastern mountain of aspiration, Dispelling the darkness of beings, the venerable One of a Million Lights, May the all-pervading Lord protect all these beings without exception. Thus, the supreme Dharma, the precious jewel, transcends the path of speculation, The wisdom that becomes clear through the oral instructions of the supreme Guru, Manifestly accomplished from the very root of faith, Whose path is not in the words of conceptual elaboration, But it is crucial to understand well the essential points in making practice the core. In all times and places, pleasing the supreme Guru with body, possessions, practice, and all else, Receiving the unerring oral instructions from the Guru's mouth, Having thoroughly studied the profound Sutras and Tantras, then practicing is the most excellent. It is extremely important to pray with unwavering devotion, surpassing all Buddhas. 1) To rest in equanimity free from extremes, merely settling into clarity and awareness is also a method, but it is essential to rest in the nature of awareness-emptiness. 2) Even if one meditates extensively, if afflictions are scattered like an ordinary person, then one has not entered the essential point of meditation. For this, it is essential to apply mindfulness, the intention of non-reality, devotion to the Guru, and to meditate with focused attention on the nature, like driving in a wedge. 3) In all activities, the three doors should not stray from the Dharma even for a moment, and one should not despise even a particle in the acceptance and rejection of cause and effect, and it is essential to protect the precepts with respect and in accordance with the rules. 4) At the beginning of all practices, the difficulty of finding leisure and endowment, the impermanence of death, the suffering of samsara, the infallibility of cause and effect, and other methods of turning the mind to Dharma, it is essential to make efforts to generate these genuinely in one's own mind-stream. 5) All those who wish to practice secret mantra, if they claim to have realized emptiness and know their own nature, then all appearances are bliss-emptiness, and nothing else is needed, one should not listen to such boastful words. It is essential to rely on a qualified Guru and receive empowerment with complete rituals in the outer and inner mandalas. 6) The yoga of the generation stage, the practice of the basis to be purified, the means of purification, and the special practice are very important, and it is essential to seek clarity in the yoga of the deity. 7) Clear

The essence of appearance, like a rainbow beyond the nature of particles, is the key. 8) Reciting without any object of focus is extremely profound, and even with an object of focus, concentrating on a single point is the key. 9) The main recitation is the Vajra recitation. The true Vajra recitation is the essence of speech and wind, and the profound key of directly recognizing the indestructible nāda (Sanskrit: nāda) is extremely excellent. Also, the elaborate Vajra recitation with objects of focus, etc., has extremely profound keys, so diligently practicing it is the key to recitation. 10) Among all mind-holdings, focusing on the bindu of the heart, etc., into the Avadhūti (Sanskrit: Avadhūti) is the self-key. The practice of the oral tradition is very intense, and if obstacles arise, although they can be removed later with skillful means, small obstacles have great depth. It is good to teach according to the words of a qualified person. The main practice of wind is stopping the wind, which is to dissolve it into the central channel. For this, kumbhaka is very important, but before that, training the channels is the key. 11) When the wind dissolves into the central channel, one realizes emptiness, and the dissolving wind ignites tummo, bringing bliss, which is the union of bliss and emptiness. It is not right to focus only on the results of wind and tummo, such as heat. Therefore, observing whether this has become a key is one's own experience and the actual practice of the guru's oral instructions is the key. 12) Recognizing the co-emergent wisdom, among the Yegya (Tibetan: ཡེ་རྒྱ་) and others that have been spoken, only training in emptiness is the key. 13) In a time when the teachings are complete, like a golden age, it will definitely be meaningful for a supreme person. Giving karma mudra, etc., is extremely secret and profound, but nowadays, those who use this as an excuse to act dissolutely are the cause of hell. Therefore, the behavior of most ordained mantra practitioners should rely on strictly adhering to the Vinaya. 14) Just as gold is extracted by washing away earth with water, it is key to recognize the arising of the four joys momentarily and to rest in equanimity in the essence of emptiness. 15) This purifies all the conceptual thoughts of the three consciousnesses and the eighty natures. Training in emptiness from impure, ordinary appearances, and training in selflessness when the self-radiance of habitual tendencies manifests as deity forms, whether relying on the generation stage or the completion stage, practicing the union of bliss and emptiness is the key. 16) Through this, the Mahamudra deity form becomes manifest. All deluded appearances dissolve into emptiness through a special stage of gathering, and the self-nature of the bliss-emptiness wisdom that manifests is clear light.
