Even if you meditate, there is no benefit, and there are obstacles to entering the Dharma like this. Thinking "I can't," or thinking "I'm not free now," being controlled by others, and constantly procrastinating, being arrogant or feeling tired and lazy, thinking "This is not true," or making excuses to delay, cut off these and practice immediately. Black and white karma will not deceive you, so strive to cultivate acceptance and rejection. For the sake of servants, family, relatives, and politics, even if you commit sins, you alone will bear the consequences, and others cannot share even a small part. Therefore, do not commit sins for the sake of others. Even if there is only a small harm to yourself, you cannot bear it, but you have a cruel heart to harm the limbs of others. Just for the sake of food and drink, you even kill lives. Completely abandon selfish and evil deeds, and with good actions, strive for the happiness of yourself and others in all aspects and in all places. Since the beings of the six realms are kind parents, strive to generate altruistic thoughts for all beings. Generating love and compassion for beings is the root of all Dharmas, so diligently practice this most important Dharma. Do not have hatred and resentment, and even immediately, do not do meaningless harm, and do your best to do good. Like a dream, the mind has no autonomy, and is driven by its own karma to become an enemy. Relying on yourself, you defile the enemy with sin. It is pitiful that parents fall into hell. By thinking like this, you can calm down evil thoughts. The root of the path is Guru Yoga, pray with strong devotion and earnestness. All obstacles are eliminated only by this, and all attainments are obtained only by this. Accomplish all the intentions of the qualified Guru, express the devotion of your heart and the praise of your words, and with offerings and all the actions of your body, strive to do what pleases the teacher. Worldly lords, no matter how virtuous, will separate, but the compassion of the holy Guru will not abandon you. Enlightenment arises from the power of the Guru's blessings. Mahamudra is the path of blessings. Clear and without attachment, relaxed and natural. Samatha, which cultivates on whatever appears, and Vipassana, which sees the nature nakedly, are the entrance to meditation, so strive diligently. Do not modify anything that arises, keep it as it is. Whatever changes occur, maintain awareness. Whether abiding or moving, do not fabricate.

Bas. May the banner of unwavering, all-encompassing wisdom be raised high. The essence of all profound practice is to look within one's own mind and seek it there. Those who are primordially liberated from the moment of birth should strive to recognize their true nature instead of engaging in futile pursuits. The path of skillful means involves purifying the winds, mind, channels, and bindus. The deity's form is an illusory body, empty of inherent existence and free from attachment. Day and night, let one support the other, transforming the darkness of sleep into clarity, emptiness, and bliss. Whatever appears, regard it as inseparable from the guru and yidam, transforming attachment into a pure vision, turning the wheel without bias. Whatever object one focuses on in meditation, the key is to hold it with the mindfulness of recognizing one's own nature. Confessing sins, accumulating merit, rejoicing in virtue, and dedicating it to increase—these four are the roots of higher realms and liberation. Deeply regret past misdeeds, and even at the cost of one's life, maintain vows. Take refuge and generate the supreme mind of bodhichitta. By confessing in this way, sins will be purified. Creating scriptures and Buddha images, reciting dharani mantras, and meditating on emptiness will purify all sins. Parents, the sick, those with great learning and meditative absorption, those who teach the Dharma, those with wisdom, the poor, those who uphold morality, and holy gurus—these nine are said to be supreme fields of merit. Monasteries for teaching the Dharma and practicing meditation, creating images and building temples, from that foundation, merit will increase greatly, it is said. Make vast offerings to the teachings of the Buddhas, and also strive in deity practice and mantra recitation. Also, make vast offerings of respect to the Sangha. The precious teachings are the sole refuge for beings. Where monks and the Sangha reside, may they remain for a long time. Since one cannot know where noble beings are, do not harbor contempt or cast blame on anyone. Many waste their lives on meaningless worldly affairs, leaving behind important matters. Although many have the intention to practice the sacred Dharma, few actually put it into practice, like stars in the daytime. Thus, Kunga Nyingpo, also known as Norzin Dagmo Ngawang Donyö Tsen, gave this advice to the auspicious goddess of the virtuous spring, in Gongkar (Gongga County), the royal residence. By the power of the truth of the Three Jewels, may this life be perfect and prosperous, and may the auspicious qualities of always abiding in the supreme state of enlightenment, the kingdom of the victorious ones, increase.
