Detailed explanation of the reasons for this treatise. Detailed explanation of the reasons for this treatise. Secondly, the reason for explaining the reasons for this treatise in detail is: The reason for saying that the second Dharma wheel is supreme is like this, because there is a third Dharma wheel before this second Dharma wheel. From the perspective of the second Dharma wheel, the reason for the occasion is that, because it is said that "no one will become a Buddha, will not become vast," etc., the wrong view arises that there is no such thing as becoming a Buddha. Also, because it is said that "all Buddhas of the three times become Buddhas by relying on Prajnaparamita and skillful means," etc., sometimes it is said to become a Buddha, sometimes it is said not to become a Buddha, so what is it now? The occasion for doubt arises. Like this, there are very many occasions for arising wrong views and doubts. The reason for being called "provisional meaning" is that, because it is often said that "form is suffering, not separate from anything," etc., if it is said to be happiness, then it contradicts suffering, etc., and it becomes the basis for many foundations for initiating disputes. The reason why the third Dharma wheel is not supreme is that there is no fourth Dharma wheel before it. The reason for being "definitive meaning" is also that, because it can be understood according to the literal meaning, and the ultimate is declared, there is nothing more ultimate than this, so there is no need to guide it upwards. The reason for not having an occasion and not being a basis for dispute is also that, because it is well distinguished, everything that is said from form to omniscience, all the imputed dharmas from form to omniscience, do not exist in the ultimate sense, let alone in dreamlike and illusory conventional things. What is said from form to omniscience as dreamlike, illusory, and impermanent is that all the dharmas included by other-powered from form to omniscience are said in that way. Similarly, all the ways of the twelve deeds of the form body are also said to be like dreams and illusions. Therefore, the imputed is existent in name but non-existent in reality, while the other-powered is existent in reality in name, and both are non-existent in the ultimate sense. Therefore, considering this,

The Bhagavan knows as it is that what is non-existent is indeed non-existent. Furthermore, the Tathagatagarbha is empty of all obscurations of afflictions, knowing the separation of distinctions. The term 'emptiness' is a sublime expression free from attachment and clinging. The noble Lord Maitreya said: 'The nature of that which possesses distinctions, the realm is empty of adventitious stains.' And, 'In this place, the emptiness of persons and phenomena is the absence of entities.' The noble Asanga also said: 'That which is not in a certain place is empty of that.' Thus, it is truly seen. Why is it called emptiness? Because it does not give rise to all afflictions. The noble Nagarjuna also said: 'Emptiness is the essence of the teachings taught by the Victorious Ones. All that the Buddhas have spoken stops afflictions and does not cause that realm to deteriorate.' Due to the reasons of sharp wisdom, swift wisdom, great wisdom, and profound wisdom, the elephant of the wisdom aspect also knows how to summarize the meaning of the Mother in two verses: 'By words such as 'non-existent,' all discriminations are prevented. By examples such as illusion, the other's power is truly shown. By the fourfold purification, complete accomplishment is well proclaimed. In the Prajnaparamita, the Buddhas have not shown anything else.' Thus, since all the Victorious Ones and their offspring agree, the meanings of emptiness and non-existence that are explained, when examined and analyzed, are said to be non-existent for phenomena that are imputed, dependent, afflicted, conceptual, conventional, and conditioned. The ultimate realm of Dharma, is naturally permanent, naturally blissful, naturally pure, naturally unconditioned, spontaneously accomplished, the object of individual self-aware wisdom, profound, subtle, difficult to realize, inconceivable, seen by the eye of wisdom, the basis for benefiting oneself and others, the vision of yogis in equipoise, of one taste like the sky, self-arisen wisdom, the ultimate truth, the true limit, the Tathagatagarbha,
