And after that, have you acknowledged that neither existence nor non-existence is also not? Then these two are truly contradictory! If there is no contradiction, then you are right. If there is, then where is there a greater contradiction than this? Tell me! If it is 'yes,' what else is there besides 'yes'? If it is 'no,' what else is there besides 'no'? Having acknowledged 'no,' who with intelligence would then acknowledge 'not no'? If not not, then it becomes yes. But have you still not understood the true meaning of double negation? Do not engage in this dog-like barking, as this is the essence of understanding scripture and reasoning. I earnestly request that you pause your speculative thoughts for a moment.

In the Ornament of the Sutras, regarding "Neither existent nor nonexistent, neither thus nor other," the commentator, the second omniscient Asanga, says: The meaning of suchness, in terms of the nature of the imputed and the dependent, is not existent; in terms of the nature of the thoroughly established, it is not nonexistent; since the imputed, the dependent, and the thoroughly established are one, without duality, it is not suchness; since they are not merely those, and there is nothing other, it is not other. These words are added. Furthermore, in Maitreya's Uttaratantra, "Neither existent nor nonexistent, not both existent and nonexistent, nor other than existent and nonexistent," it cannot be conceived, is beyond definition, and is to be known individually by oneself. In its extensive commentary, it is said, "Because it is inconceivable," therefore, it cannot be conceived as existent, it cannot be conceived as nonexistent, it cannot be conceived as both existent and nonexistent, and it cannot be conceived as other than existent and nonexistent; the word "also" indicates that the preceding ones are also inconceivable. The direct disciple of Maitreya, the noble Asanga, also says, in its commentary, it is not nonexistent, not existent, and not both existent and nonexistent, because in all four aspects, it is not an object of conceptualization. This is also a characteristic I have newly discovered. The two, master and disciple, are both very familiar with their own treatises. They say that the Dharma Jewel of ultimate truth cannot be established in any of the four extremes by conceptualization; it is not an object of conceptualization; it is unknowable by conceptualization. They say that it is not said that no one can know it, nor is it an object for anyone. Following that, Maitreya says, "Individually self-aware," and in its extensive commentary, it says, "Because the noble ones know." In its commentary, Asanga says, "Because the noble ones individually know it." Therefore, it is established that it exists in the realm of non-conceptual wisdom. Speaking: When settling the practice of meditative equipoise, In regard to the four extremes such as existence and non-existence, Not grasping at anything, not conceptualizing anything, Not making affirmations or negations of appearances, but leaving them in their own state. When settling the view of suchness, The clear light of the ultimate nature of mind, Is seen as the object of non-conceptual wisdom in meditative equipoise. These various appearances of conventional reality, In post-meditation, are like dreams and illusions.
