The Song of Practice Called 'Doha Treasure' In Sanskrit: Doha Kosha Nama Charya Giti In Tibetan: The Song of Practice Called 'Doha Treasure' Homage to Noble Manjushri! Homage to the one who utterly destroys the power of demons! Just as water, unmoved by the wind, appears as waves due to the movement. So too, the king shooting an arrow, though appearing different, is in reality one. Just as when viewed through the lens of ignorance, one lamp appears as two. So too, the seer and the seen are without duality, alas! the mind appears as dualistic entities. Though many lamps are lit in a house, to the eyeless it still appears dark. The co-emergent wisdom pervades all, though near, it is extremely far to the ignorant. Various rivers merge into the ocean, becoming one. Many falsehoods are destroyed by one truth. The light of one sun dispels many darknesses. Just as clouds take water from the ocean and fill the earth. The ocean itself does not diminish, remaining equal to the sky. There is neither increase nor decrease. The perfect Victor fills all. The nature of co-emergent wisdom is one. Beings arise and cease within it. There is nothing within it that is either thing or non-thing. Abandoning the supreme bliss, one goes elsewhere. Hoping for the bliss born of conditions. The honey in one's own mouth is readily available, yet one does not drink it, instead seeking what is far away. Not considering the suffering of animals as suffering, the wise consider it as suffering. One drinks the nectar of space. Another clings to objects. The worm in excrement clings to the odor, considering sandalwood as foul-smelling. Just as abandoning Nirvana, one clings to the dense source of existence. The water filling a cow's footprint will eventually dry up. Non-perfection cannot stabilize the mind. Eventually, all perfection will dry up. Just as the salty water of the ocean, when taken by the clouds, becomes sweet. Benefiting others with a steadfast mind can transform poison into nectar. If it cannot be spoken, there is no suffering. If it cannot be meditated upon, that itself is bliss. Like the sound of a dragon's roar... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even in fear, the falling rain causes the crops to ripen. The initial and final states do not exist elsewhere. There is no beginning, no end, and no intermediate state. For those whose minds are filled with delusion and ignorance, emptiness and compassion are spoken. Just as the honey within a flower is known only by the bee. Do not create samsara, nor create nirvana. How can I fully understand ignorance? Just as the image is reflected on the surface of a mirror. The ignorant one looks without understanding. Similarly, the mind that has abandoned truth relies heavily on falsehood. Although the fragrance of a flower has no form, it manifestly pervades everywhere. Likewise, for the formless nature, the mandala and chakra should also be taught. When wind enters the water and stirs it, the smooth water takes on the shape of a rock. Delusion stirs the formless ignorance, making it very hard and solid. When the mind has a stainless nature, it is not stained by the mud of samsara and nirvana. If it is placed in mud, then the precious jewel, its light will not be clear. Eliminating ignorance does not make wisdom clear, just as eliminating ignorance makes suffering clear. Just as a sprout comes from a seed, and branches come from the stem of the sprout. By analyzing the mind with one and many, one abandons clarity and goes into samsara. Like seeing someone fall into a pit, what could be more compassionate than that? Completely indulging in the pleasure of union, the ignorant say that this is the ultimate truth. Some come out of their homes and write the story of Kamarupa at the door. In the empty house, by the power of the wind, they create false pretenses in various ways. The yogi who falls from the sky with sin and faints from suffering! Just as a Brahmin makes offerings of ghee and rice into a burning fire. This is the substance produced by the essence of space; know that this is attachment itself. Some ignite the light of Brahma, moving the uvula with their tongues. Binding and stirring, they arrogantly call themselves yogis. They show self-awareness to others, claiming that what binds them is liberation. Distinguishing by color, they call bondage emerald. The ignorant do not know how to discern jewels, but take brass for gold. Taking experience to realize the ultimate truth. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
