From 'The Great Perfection Mother Tantra, Secret Path of the Dakinis': The Page of Wrath as Vajra. Anu Section Mother Tantra. Page. Homage to the glorious Vajra Dakini! This turning of wrath into the path has three meanings: preliminaries and the main practice, which will be shown through two doors. First, in a secluded place, such as a mountain retreat, a snow mountain, or a forest, pray to the lama day and night continuously, offer mandalas, arrange tsok and torma offerings to the dakinis, declare the truth to the local deities, repay karmic debts and cast out obstacle-removing tormas, contemplate the faults of samsara, and remember the biographies of the hardships endured by lamas and accomplished beings. Precede with refuge and bodhicitta, and with devotion and longing, request instructions from a realized lama and put them into practice. It is crucial to pay great attention to these preliminaries. Next, the main practice will be shown. First, tracing the source of the arising of wrath, there are two types: first, wrath that relies on the ground of being itself, and second, wrath of delusion and ignorance that arises based on that. Now, tracing the source of the arising of wrath that relies on the ground of being itself: Look nakedly at the essence of wrath, and examine what essence is in that wrath? What form is there? What color is there? What substance is there? Determine this well. Is the source of the arising of wrath oneself or another? Look at what the arising of wrath is. If the source of the arising of wrath does not find essence and form, color and substance in the wrath itself, then is it an unconscious faint, or is it something with awareness? Look carefully! If the source of the arising of wrath is not found there, then leave it in its unfound state for a moment and decide. If it is not found in any way, then upwards it is one with the Buddha, downwards it is no different from sentient beings in samsara, and there is no meaning in good or bad, etc. Where did this come from? Determine this well. Then, if essence and form are not found in wrath, then turn it back, from the very beginning, the essence is naturally empty, naturally clear, it is one that is unborn and unceasing from the beginning, if it is not recognized in this way... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anger arises from the delusion of ignorance, wandering in samsara and experiencing various sufferings. Now, when one's own nature aligns with the emptiness of anger, the self-nature of anger is emptiness, and the self-nature of anger is the Dharma. Now, the essence of all arising anger is emptiness, its nature is clarity, and compassion is unceasing. At that time, all anger is not a manifestation of one's own mind, and in reality, there is nothing that exists independently. Oneself is anger, and anger is oneself; one essence manifests as two. When one understands that both are empty in essence, one is freed from the essence of anger, realizes the meaning of non-duality, and everything aligns with one's own mind. When anger arises towards external objects, and the objects that cause anger to arise, such as enemies, hateful people, friends, loving people, etc., all become free from acceptance and rejection through alignment. At that time, the root of anger arising dependent on oneself is completely severed. Now, to completely sever the deluded ignorance of anger that arises dependent on external circumstances, such as encountering an enemy who causes one pain, or someone unjustly stealing one's possessions, or hearing unpleasant words that pierce the heart, etc., relying on these, a strong anger arises. Does this anger arise in oneself, or does it arise in the enemy? Although anger may arise without complete understanding, when one aligns with one's own nature and anger naturally dissolves, even if one encounters external enemies, anger will not arise; even if possessions are stolen, anger will not arise; even if one hears unpleasant words, anger will not arise. If anger does arise, by looking at its essence, it will naturally dissolve. When one understands that all external circumstances that cause anger to arise are manifestations of one's own mind, all external objects that cause anger to arise, such as enemies and unpleasant words, etc., will appear as aids, like adding fuel to a fire. For example, the waves that rise on the ocean are manifestations of the ocean itself; the branches and knots that grow on a tree are manifestations of the tree itself. Similarly, all objects that cause anger to arise dependent on external circumstances are manifestations of one's own mind; all anger that arises internally arises dependent on external circumstances, and external circumstances are also manifestations of one's own mind. In short, there is nothing that is not a manifestation of the mind. Therefore, when one understands that the essence of one's own mind is emptiness, external enemies and unpleasant words, etc., are also the nature of emptiness, without characteristics, free from the duality of acceptance and rejection, and aligned with one's own nature. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
