Here, for performing the fire offering purification associated with the vase ritual of the Great Compassionate One, the Self-Liberation of Samsara, scatter flowers on a covered platform. Arrange a vase filled with essence and adorned with ornaments on top of a single mandala group. Also, prepare a torma, offerings with nameplates (covered), food offerings, obstacle-removing torma, a mirror, white mustard seeds, mantra powder, and vajra bell and dorje. To simplify even further, it is sufficient to arrange the vase on the vase platform in front of oneself and place the five offerings around it. At that time, during the ritual, it is sufficient to omit everything except the five offering mantras. In any case, after performing the vase recitation as usual according to the ritual and treasure text, sprinkle cleansing water on the nameplate and recite 'Om Vajra Amrita,' etc. From the state of emptiness, the nameplate नृ (Tibetan: ནྲྀ，Devanagari: नृ，Romanized Sanskrit: nṛ，Literal meaning: No) transforms into the actual deceased. From the junctions of these unions, rays of wisdom light emanate, burning away the seeds of the six realms. Chant mantras and throw white mustard seeds. OM DAHA DAHA SARVA NARAKA GATE HE TUM HUNG PHAT. OM PACHA PACHA SARVA PRETA GATE HE TUM HUNG PHAT. OM MATHA MATHA SARVA TIRYAKA GATE HE TUM HUNG PHAT. OM CHHINDA CHHINDA SARVA NRI GATE HE TUM HUNG PHAT. OM TRAT TRAT SARVA ASURA GATE HE TUM HUNG PHAT. OM BHRITA BHRITA SARVA SURA GATE HE TUM HUNG PHAT. Bathe with a vase in front of a mirror. HUNG! In the palace of the auspicious vase, reside the deities who shake the depths of samsara. The water is the nature of the Paramitas, purifying the stains of the six afflictions. OM MANI PADME HUNG HRIH. OM Vipula Garbhe, etc. Prostrate. May the deceased instantly transform into the Great Compassionate One. HUNG! The vase is a precious palace, within which reside the deities of compassion. The water transforms into the nectar of wisdom, for the sake of shaking samsara from its depths. By bestowing empowerment upon the fortunate child, may the obscurations of body, speech, and mind be purified, and may the empowerments of body, speech, and mind be attained! At the end of the mantra: Kaya Vaka Citta Sarva Abhishincha OM AH HUNG HRIH. Thus, empower. Sprinkle water on the food. RAM YAM KHAM. OM AH HUNG. Recite the six-syllable mantra, dedicate the food, and burn it. OM! May all be like a treasure of the sky, with inexhaustible enjoyment, like a great cloud of a wish-fulfilling ocean. The teaching on purifying the path: Listen, son of the deceased family, wherever you are born in the realms of samsara, it is the nature of the three sufferings. Do not be attached or cling to it, generate the supreme mind of enlightenment, and remember the truth of Dharma. The five paths are without inherent existence, perfected in the state of illusion. The luminous essence, the mind's body, goes to the pure land adorned with lotuses. May you be manifestly enlightened, inseparable from the wisdom of Amitabha!
