Da Bao Fu Zang TD1756 'The Ritual of Ransom Sacrifice: A Delightful Garden of Easy Portability, Benefit, and Happiness'. Various Activities: Ransom Sacrifice. Da Bao Fu Zang TD1756 'The Ritual of Ransom Sacrifice: A Delightful Garden of Easy Portability, Benefit, and Happiness'. It can be applied to any Yidam of the Kagyu and Treasure traditions. To perform a ransom sacrifice for any person or livestock, if one wishes to create a substitute, mix grains with the impurities of their body and mold a likeness that closely resembles the subject. Finally, pile on as many valuables as possible. If increasing the quantity, the number of small ransom items, tsatsas, and tormas should be equal. Then, according to the practice of self-generation as any Yidam, whether elaborate or concise, recite and complete it. The substitute is placed in front, or it can be sent elsewhere. Sprinkle the ransom tormas with cleansing water, purify with amrita, and purify with svabhava. From emptiness, the ransom tormas arise from the essence of the five syllables OM AH HUM SVAHA, becoming a precious human form that is eloquent, able to walk, pleasing, and becomes an object of delight for the guests. OM AH HUM SVAHA. Bless three times. Purify the tormas with RAM YAM KHAM. OM AH HUM transforms their essence into an ocean of nectar, their forms filling the sky with the five desirable qualities. OM AH HUM. Three times. Then, with firm pride as the deity, from the HUM at one's heart, rays of light emanate. Transforming into a wrathful king of desire, red or pink, intensely powerful, holding an iron hook and a lasso, immeasurable in number, spreading throughout all realms like wind scattering cotton, leading with the Lord of Death, Yama, and his retinue, all obstructing forces from the peak of existence down to the hell realms are involuntarily summoned before you. HUM! All Buddhas of the three times, Wrathful ones emanated from the heart, The wrathful king who summons all, Named Taki appears, Performing the act of summoning obstacles. If he can summon emptiness, What need to mention visible forms? If he can summon inanimate stones, What need to mention those with consciousness? Summon forth, invite, wrathful king! Swiftly summon all obstacles! Taki HUM DZAH. Recite three times, etc., to summon. If the visualization is clear, one recitation is sufficient. HUM! With hatred and malice --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May all minds be pacified. Now come forth with a mind of compassion and love, Enjoy the offering with a joyful and delighted mind. May you be endowed with a peaceful Bodhi mind. Having said this, their malevolent minds were pacified, and they joyfully and respectfully accepted the offering, abiding in that state. From each of those ransom objects, there appears a precious human being resembling themselves, and below them, horses, cattle, etc., each with their names changed accordingly. Note: Adorned with ornaments and attire, filling the expanse of the sky, and bestowed upon each type of obstructing spirit, they are all satisfied. The offering is like an ocean of nectar, and the five desirable qualities arising from it fill the sky and the earth, all of which are obtained by everyone. namaḥ sarva tathāgata avalokite oṃ sambhara sambhara hūṃ. (Tibetan, Devanagari Sanskrit, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Homage to all Tathagatas, Avalokiteshvara, Om Accumulate, Accumulate, Hum. Holding the left hand with a bell, dedicating it with vast intention, up to the point of one's own conviction, seven times and so on, the obstructing spirits also obtain it in this way. By reciting the names of the four Tathagatas, without conflict or victory, beautiful forms are seen in each other's eyes, pleasant sounds are heard in the ears, fragrant smells are smelled in the nose, delicious tastes are tasted on the tongue, soft touches are felt on the body, and complete happiness is felt in the mind. How Beautiful ornaments are piled up, bedding, medicine to heal illnesses, food, things to chew, things to lick, things to drink, and also silks, satins, tiger and leopard skins, armor, cloth, various jewels, various grains, yaks, horses, cattle, and so on. In short, whatever each one desires in their mind appears, and from this time until the end of samsara, they become treasures that never run out and are enjoyed. Hūṃ. Take it, take it, you powerful ones! Attachment, desire, infatuation, remembrance, grasping, thought, touch, release, pacify, liberate! Thus, with the right hand covering the palm, holding the ransom offering with the thumb and forefinger, circling the person three times to the right in a sweeping manner, all of their decay and fear are gathered and absorbed into the ransom object, and the person becomes white and pure, thinking that all obstacles and unfavorable conditions have been removed. The ransom offering is thrown behind the person carrying the empty container on their back, facing outwards. Again, each ransom offering is dedicated as before, and the years, etc., are completed. Hūṃ. Listen, you hosts of obstructing spirits and misleading influences! Obstructing the accomplishment of enlightenment, harming and injuring people with evil actions of body and mind, stealing life and cutting off the life force. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
