Da Bao Fu Zang TD1022 Profound Dharma Series of Seven, Empowerment Garland of Great Assembly Qiao Ling Profound Dharma Seven Kinds Hayagriva Empowerment From the Seven Cycles of Profound Teachings: The Garland of Empowerment for the Gathering of Great Power Homage to the deity of the Great Empowerment Assembly. This profound instruction on empowerment is composed here by me, Orgyen (Sanskrit: Udyāna, Lotus-Born's birthplace), so that future ones may uphold it with virtue. Establishing the foundation with the five perfections, construct a square platform for the empowerment mandala. Anoint it with the five elixirs, and complete the Great Empowerment mandala with its gates. The eight-spoked and four-spoked wheels are arranged in two layers, adorned with hand gestures, seed syllables, and emblems. The vase, crown, vajra, bell, and name crown are the attire of the master. The secret skull cup, consort, man crystal, and other necessary items are assembled. The mandala is adorned with ornaments. Take the generation stage as the basis for practice. After the disciple has bathed and dispelled obstacles, beseech the gatekeepers with these words: Ho! In the palace of self-aware wisdom, the assembly of primordial deities abides. O gatekeepers of self-secret means, please open the gates to the realm of self-awareness! The gatekeepers reply: Hum! To see self-aware wisdom, the gates of self-secret means are opened. Come here! In this vast realm of wisdom, you will become enlightened without duality. This is the sequence of outer entry. The inner entry is with the mandala and so on: Ho! King of empowerment, Venerable Lama, in order to obtain all accomplishments, please invite us into the great mandala of wisdom! The master says: To those fortunate disciples who wish to enter this mandala where the expanse and awareness are non-dual, you are certainly endowed with supreme fortune. To see and enter this mandala of unsurpassed secret mantra is rare among hundreds. Generate joy and steadfastly guard the vows. The disciple performs purification and accumulation of merit. Then, make the vow: Ho! May the Sugatas (Buddhas) heed! In order to attain accomplishments, I will uphold the twenty-five vows and especially the vows of body, speech, and mind, as taught in the unsurpassed tantras, without abandoning them. Please bestow the supreme awareness! The master establishes the vow: I am the glorious Heruka. Listen to the commands I give. The vajra vow is the water of bliss. Vajrasattva is reality itself. As it enters the heart center, the fundamental primordial samaya dissolves into the Sempa (Tibetan: སེམས་དཔའ་, Sanskrit: बोधिसत्त्व, Romanized Sanskrit: bodhisattva, Literal meaning: Bodhisattva). Awareness is recognized as self-arisen wisdom. Padma Sempa, bright red and vivid, complete and vibrant, one face and two arms, embracing the consort. The rays of his body purify the impure skandhas. The pure wisdom body manifests as Hayagriva, red, one face and two arms, holding a kartrika and kapala, embracing the consort, residing within a red light dharmodaya. From the heart of the master radiate rays of light. All the victorious ones, in the form of Hayagriva Yab-Yum, in a dance of great bliss union, and proclaiming the sound of 'Ah Hum' (Tibetan: ཨ་ཧཾ་, Sanskrit: अहं, Romanized Sanskrit: Ahaṃ, Literal meaning: I), come upon the crown of everyone's head. They gradually dissolve, and the essence of the bodhicitta of all the victorious ones, like a great river, pours down from the crown of the head. Filling the entire body, drawing from the union of the Sempa Yab-Yum, dissolving into the heart, visualize great bliss blazing uncontrollably, and place the vase upon the crown of the head. Hum! From the palace of Ogmin Dharmadhatu, all the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times, together with their retinue, come in a state of great bliss, please empower the fortunate disciples to mature! Hum! Padma Shri Heruka Mahasukha Bodhicitta Kalasha Abhishincha Hum! (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Seed syllable) To stabilize these, throw the wisdom flower: Hum! In this great mandala of the four joys, offering this flower connected from previous lives, may it fall where the corresponding accomplishment is attained, may the essence of self-arisen wisdom be recognized! Pushpe Pratichchha Ho! (Sanskrit: पुष्पे प्रतिच्छ स्वाहा, Romanized Sanskrit: puṣpe pratīccha svāhā, Literal meaning: Flower, receive, svaha) Say the name of the direction where the flower falls, and tie the crest jewel upon the crown: Hum! To the wisdom deity connected from previous lives, offer the flower of great bliss wisdom. By this, may supreme accomplishment be swiftly attained, may the supreme state of perfect enlightenment be achieved! Pushpe Grihna Imam Sattva Mahabala! (Sanskrit: पुष्पे गृह्ण इमं सत्त्व महाबल, Romanized Sanskrit: puṣpe gṛhṇa imaṃ sattva mahābala, Literal meaning: Flower, receive, this being great power) The water of bodhicitta surges upwards, transforming into the nature of the five Buddha families Yab-Yum.
