Begin by cultivating refuge, bodhicitta, and the four immeasurables: Om, from the beginning, the unborn, empty, and clear essence, all appearances arise from the clouds of bodhicitta, the self-born awareness Hri (藏文：ཧྲཱིཿ，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ， Shame) white and clear. Adorned with precious jewels, seated in vajra posture, the supreme mother, secret wisdom, like one's own form. Embraced like body and shadow, adorned with a rainbow of five lights as a backdrop. On the crown of the head is the family lord Amitabha, in the heart is Hayagriva Ye She (wisdom mind), the assembled family, the retinue emanated from oneself. The treasure-holding earth goddess bows from the right, the mantra-holding mother bows from the left. On the six petals are the six Bhagavan Thubpas, and on the outer layer are the thousand and two Buddhas. At the four gates are the four families of blood drinkers, and clouds of lamas, vidyadharas, and dakinis. In the mandala of the Great Compassionate One, to lead and liberate beings, the five poisons are subdued by the five poisons.
