Also, it is called meditating on the Tathagatagarbha. It is also called seeing one's own face with non-dual wisdom. It is said to be the Yoga of Perfect Completion, this is the seventh session. Focusing the mind on the deity's form, which is clear, empty, and pure like a rainbow, is meditating on the deity's form as clear and empty, this is the eighth session. Holding the vase breath in union, and meditating on the upper part of the body, in the center of the navel chakra, there is a four-finger-high butter lamp flickering. Meditate on the body being comfortable and at ease as it flickers. Generate a little happiness with the practice of downward elimination and upward extraction. This is meditating on happiness, this is the ninth session. When the signs of experience arise in each of these three, in the state of unchanging, inexpressible nature, the taste of the mind is clearly blissful, the appearance is clearly like the deity's form, meditate on that which is inseparable from the inwardly looking awareness. This is the Great Bliss of Immovability, the Union, the Non-Dual Wisdom, the Ultimate Yoga, this is the tenth session. 10-517 These three are the main practice. The instruction on clearing away obstacles. Third, do not be attached to the experience of clarity of mind, but know it to be like an illusion. Similarly, do not be attached to the experience of bliss and emptiness. Do not be attached to or rejoice in praise, happiness, perfect enjoyment, gain, and so on. Do not be sad or displeased with blame, suffering, poverty, and so on. Know everything to be like a dream, in equality. Whatever appearances arise, such as happiness and suffering, joy and displeasure, do your best to dissolve them into the sphere of non-attachment. The instruction on extensively accumulating the two accumulations. Fourth, in order to accomplish the unsurpassed Bodhi, one should train in all aspects of the six Paramitas, the practices of the Bodhisattvas. Make this vow again and again. This is the eleventh session. Similarly, one should make a vow to train in the four objects of gathering, this is the twelfth session. Because these sentient beings must quickly be placed on the ground of Buddhahood, but the path of the Paramitas is very slow, therefore, one should establish them on the ground of Buddhahood in this very life through the empowerment that ripens and the path that liberates. Make this vow again and again.

The thirteenth ground is complete. These two are subsequent or branch dharmas, that is, the thirteen grounds and dharmas are the same, and are the thirteen contemplations. These four instructions are called "base dharma." The essence of the base dharma is: Introducing the view of reality, that is, introducing its lack of subject-object duality, Introducing self-knowing wisdom as ultimate truth, and introducing it as great bliss union. The first is: In the state of naturally abiding mind, by focusing on external appearances, one can recognize that there is no distinction between object and mind. Appearance 10-518 itself is one's own mind, appearing as form is bright, appearing as sound is clear, and similarly, all appearances as smell, taste, touch, etc., are inseparable from one's own mind. Establishing this is the first introduction. Then, for all the appearances of one's own mind, whether afflictions or conceptual thoughts, like images in a mirror, they appear from the beginning without grasping. Determine this through recognition. This is determining that both subject and object are without inherent existence, the second introduction. Whatever arises as bodily appearance or mental appearance, it is merely a delusion of self-appearance, and the essence of mind is never tainted. Establishing this is: all conceptual thoughts have never had temporary stains from the beginning, the third introduction. The second is: The essence of mind is free from grasping, beyond the object of expression, but self-knowing and self-awareness are never interrupted, and there is no change in the difference between the appearance of objects and the non-arising of conceptual thoughts. Experiencing this and determining it is the introduction of non-dual wisdom as ultimate truth, the fourth introduction. The third is: The appearance of mind is uninterrupted, and the appearance of pure and impure realms and beings can arise. Because appearance and emptiness are inexpressible, it is a pure mandala, and its essence never changes, appearing as a blissful sensation, which is the great bliss of co-emergence. These two have no difference in essence except for different names. Establishing this on this single moment of awareness is showing that one's own mind is union, the fifth introduction. These are the five stages of introduction representing the five Buddha families.

O! Thus, the base, introducing the Dharma and the essence, is called the instruction possessing five perfections. The first instruction is like the perfection of place, because it is the basis for generating all qualities. The second instruction 10-519 is like the perfection of the teacher, because that itself is the main thing. The third instruction is like the perfection of time, because eliminating obstacles and increasing benefits, time is the most excellent. The fourth instruction is like the perfection of the retinue, because it is the retinue of the second. The fifth instruction is like the perfection of the Dharma, because it is what the main and retinue should practice. Thus, the reason why this is called the instruction possessing five perfections is these. This was spoken by Gyalkhampa Tāranātha, urged by the great Vinaya holder Palden Shakya Tendzin, the lord of speech Lodrö Palzang, and the all-knowing speaker Kunga Lodrö. Auspicious! Pra Ya Tsa! Proofread!
