Emerge. The body is empty in the skull. One's own mind becomes the deity, reciting "Oṃ (藏文:ༀ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:Om), Āḥ (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:Ah), Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum)." After saying that, one's own body becomes a great ocean of nectar. Invite all the noble beings, the gurus, yidams, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas. By reciting only "Oṃ (藏文:ༀ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:Om), Āḥ (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:Ah), Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུཾ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum)," first offer to the root guru, then to the lineage gurus, yidams, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Dharma protectors, and guardians, thinking that they are pleased. Give the remaining offerings to the six realms of beings, so that they are satisfied and their suffering is pacified. Then transform the remaining offerings into immeasurable offerings and objects, and offer them to all the Jewels and the six realms of beings, thinking that they are satisfied and pleased. This is offering one's own body as a sacrifice. Now, focus the mind on all appearances. Do not cling to these impure karmic appearances, which you have already abandoned attachment to in the past, and do not cling to them now. Because clinging leads to wandering in samsara. You must definitely separate from these. Because they are impermanent and destructive, clinging is of no use. You should not cling to this nature of suffering. 10-479 Because it is an illusory appearance like a false illusion. When clinging, even the object of clinging itself is not established, think like that, and then completely let go from the heart. This is the instruction for cutting off dependence. Generate devotion and longing for the Lord Maitreya who resides in Tushita. From his heart, a tube of light like a conch shell emerges straight out. Visualize yourself as Avalokiteśvara, entering into that tube of light. This is the instruction for finding the path. Thus, these three instructions are the preliminaries for transference of consciousness. Then, with a strong desire to transfer consciousness to Maitreya's heart, a hook-like ray of light emanates from his heart and enters the tube. You, visualized as Avalokiteśvara, are drawn by that hook-like ray of light and instantly dissolve into Maitreya's heart. This is the main practice, so meditate on it three or four times in succession. Then, it emanates out again from Maitreya's heart, and you are born as a lotus, thinking that you are listening to the Dharma. This is the subsequent visualization. Instructions for Blending Meditation in the Bardo Third Chapter The instructions for blending meditation in the bardo are: This itself should be known in the bardo. The outer, inner, and secret should be transformed. With the yoga of emptiness and compassion, the wise should blend themselves.

Therefore, the key to the preliminary practice is this: all present appearances seem to be real existences in the bardo. At this time, one should generate sorrow and a strong desire, thinking that one must not be mistaken. The four actual practices are: if one leaves the present impure appearances as they are, thoughts of attachment and aversion will arise, and one will take birth in samsara. Therefore, one should think of transforming them into pure appearances. Visualize all external appearances as the form of Avalokiteśvara, and all sounds as mantras. Internally, visualize one's own body as the form of Avalokiteśvara, and one's speech as mantras. Secretly, while meditating on the unborn nature of one's own mind, abide in the original state as taught by the master. 10-480 These are the three transformations. The subsequent practice is to contemplate that all sentient beings of the six realms, including oneself and others, along with their environments, are like illusions, yet they do not realize this, which is pitiable. Meditate on this slightly. The four aspects of view, meditation, conduct, and result of this Dharma are: Recognizing whatever arises is the key to the view; Not being distracted from it is the key to meditation; Remembering equanimity is the key to conduct; Becoming proficient is the key to the result. It is said that this is the instruction of the great accomplished ones. Therefore, whether the mind abides, changes, or whatever arises, recognizing that it is free from grasping from the very beginning is the view. Maintaining this continuously with mindfulness and awareness is meditation. Maintaining equanimity towards happiness, suffering, and all good and bad circumstances is conduct. Although one needs to practice diligently now, when one day it arises naturally without effort, that is proficiency, which is the result. The detailed meaning of these should be understood from the "Great Instruction" composed by Khro Phu Lotsawa Jampa. This "Essential Instructions on the Three Essential Points" was also spoken by Gyal Khampa Tāranātha. Checked and finalized. Tashi.
