English version: The Biography of Lord Cunhui Lord's given name was Cunhui, his courtesy name was Chayuan, and he was also known as Huaiqiyi. From a young age, he possessed both gentle literary talent and resolute martial prowess, combining the virtues of leniency and strictness. He was skilled at riding horses and drawing bows, to the extent that monkeys would shriek at his abilities. He was well-versed in the arrangement of battle formations, capturing and releasing enemies with ease. Therefore, he was able to enter the ranks of his peers, and his conduct surpassed that of ordinary people. Whenever he resided in an official residence, his actions and movements stood out among the crowd. Everyone unanimously recommended him, and many people nominated him. The ruler also carefully sought him out. Thus, he was promoted to an official position, but he did not focus on the importance of the position. He served in a clean and awe-inspiring department, and people knew of him. He humbly yielded treasures to his predecessors and was more content than his successors. It was thought that he would share the ruler's worries within the military camp and devise strategies in the state government to assist the country. Who would have expected that hidden fires would undermine him, and his spirit would return to emptiness? He left behind his fair skin, never to hear his beautiful words again. His wife was left alone in an empty room, shedding tears of blood. It would be difficult to meet again in this life, and after parting, they could only rely on letters to convey messages. Therefore, he asked someone to use cinnabar ink to depict his appearance and invited scholars to praise his virtues. The eulogy said: Lord's natural appearance is extraordinary, and his spirit and demeanor are different from others. When he enters the crowd, everyone respects him; when he leaves the crowd, the ruler finds it difficult to find someone comparable to him. In literature, he studied the teachings of Confucius; in martial arts, he paid homage at the altar of King Chu. Glory and emolument are the ruler's favor, and his merits will last for thousands of years. When he plays the strings, the five tones are harmonious; when he sings poems, the four tones are complete. He handles affairs in the state government, and his ingenious strategies are evident in border defense. Who would have thought that he would pass away so early, and his life would be taken away by a ghost in secret? In the hall, there are only his footsteps; in the courtyard, his figure can no longer be seen. The officials in the government office are all crying, and his wife is even more grief-stricken. Depict his appearance during his lifetime so that future generations can admire him. In the years to come, his tomb will be desolate, and he will gaze at the Yellow Springs from the water town. Letters must be sent to distant places, and words must be passed down. Lord's given name was Cunhui, and his courtesy name was Chayuan. His ancestors were a famous clan, descendants of King Wuding of the Yin Dynasty and descendants of Boyang of Longxi. The genealogy is recorded very clearly, so I will briefly mention it here. They took trees as their surname and left a good name for archery. The White Horse Sutra came east, and Lao Tzu rode a green ox to the west. Therefore, they civilized the Hu people and left descendants. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
