The four great evil planets, namely Mars, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu, have the greatest impact on sentient beings. At this time, one should cultivate meritorious deeds, practice generosity and kindness, or rely on the Manjushri Eight-Syllable Mantra, or rely on Ushnishachakravartin, or rely on Parnashavari (the Avalokiteshvara wearing leaves), or rely on Ekaksara-buddhosnisa-cakravartin (the One-Syllable Buddha Crown Wheel King). To perform the accomplishment method, one should choose the day when the Heart Constellation is in direct alignment, the day when the Willow Constellation is in direct alignment, the day when the Pleiades Constellation is in direct alignment, or the day when the Ox Constellation is in direct alignment. Do not consider the auspiciousness or inauspiciousness of the sun and moon. As long as it is the day when this constellation is in direct alignment, one should abstain from food and recite the mantra one thousand and eighty times in one day. All wishes will be fulfilled and great accomplishment will be attained immediately. If one encounters calamities, performing the practice on one's birthday is most appropriate. If one performs the accomplishment method for Jupiter, the sixteenth day of the month is most appropriate. If one performs the accomplishment method for Mars, the day when it is in direct alignment is most appropriate. If one performs the accomplishment method for Saturn, the seventh day of each month is most appropriate.
