English version Thus I have heard. At one time, the Buddha was in the Jeta Grove of Anathapindika's Park in Shravasti, together with a great assembly of twelve hundred and fifty Bhikshus (monks). Also present were various Devas (gods), Nagas (dragons), Yakshas (demons), Gandharvas (celestial musicians), Asuras (demons), Garudas (mythical birds), Kinnaras (celestial musicians), Mahoragas (serpentine deities), humans, and non-humans, all gathered to listen to the Buddha's teachings, universally opening the gate of Dharani (mantra) for all beings. The Buddha observed that in the degenerate age to come, calamities of water, fire, and wind would arise in succession, various venomous snakes and poisonous dragons would roam about, emitting poisonous fumes, and flying insects would use poison to harm living beings. Vipers, adders, scorpions, centipedes, pythons, venomous snakes, and other poisonous creatures, whether in damp mountain forests or at the bottom of pits and waters, would all be able to release poison to harm living beings. At that time, the World-Honored One addressed the assembly, saying: 'Once, I was in the Fragrant Mountain on the north side of the Snow Mountain. In that mountain, I saw a maiden adorned with the marks of a hundred blessings, wearing deer skin as clothing, using various venomous snakes as necklaces, and playing with pythons, adders, and other poisonous insects. When hungry, she ate poisonous fruits; when thirsty, she drank poisonous liquids.' That maiden saw me, and after exchanging greetings, she said: 'Benevolent one, you should listen. My Dharani (mantra) of Changqiuli (name of the poison maiden) can extinguish all poisons in the world.' Then she spoke the mantra: ‘Tadyatha ilimidi dili midi ilidi(ding yi fan) limidi ruanmi ruanmoliye nuchi nuchaliye zhajieluona fajieluona jiashemili jiashemilamujidi eqini eqiani eqianajiani iliye eqiaye eqibaye shifeidi shifeiduodunna ananuluocha suohe’ At that time, after Changqiuli (name of the poison maiden) spoke this mantra, five thousand venomous and evil dragons and snakes in the Snow Mountain, upon hearing the sound of this mantra, all fainted and fell to the ground. Instantly, their heads broke open, their scales scattered in all directions, the venomous snakes' teeth fell out, and their head skin scattered like stars, bleeding profusely. 尔时世尊观此含识被咒毒故。便说心咒解前毒。咒曰。 怛侄他壹哩弥哩哦啰弥哩斫俱卢斫俱仑哦啰弥弥俱吒曳俱吒曳帝素普吒曳帝素普吒曳帝那我黎那迦斫迦兰底黎一车尾洒鸡怛吒怛吒悉怛吒悉怛吒悉怛吒锁诃 尔时世尊说此咒已。一切毒龙□蝮蝎悉皆得活四散驰走□□□□毒不能行。是故吾今告汝□□□□子。汝持此常瞿利毒女身咒。不□高声。于龙蛇前诵。其龙蛇闻必死。佛告四众。诸善男子。若救世界众生毒者。尔时常瞿利童子神咒悉能治之。此常瞿利虽现女身。实非女也。善男子。诸佛菩萨智惠神通能为众生现种种身。摄化诸毒。不令诸恶毒龙蛇侵绕众生。若人闻常瞿利大明身咒。却后七年不被毒所伤害。亦能摧灭身中毒恶。 尔时世尊复告降怨鸟王。汝等同力眷属大力群强。于吾灭后末法之中。亦须收摄群毒□鸟□□□鸟王九万众尽须追唤十千□□悉须菅掘。闻吾常瞿利大明咒。皆须随顺资助使役方便救护不得违逆。 尔时佛告四众。善男子。此常瞿利毒女身咒能治一切世间万种之毒。蛇蛱蝎𠹗恶疮疡疮痈疽丁疮山源溪毒生金毒药及诸蛊毒。但咒水服及水咝唅咒水。若咒毒三遍。每念七遍。一切诸毒根本自出。毒不能害。若患溪毒。咒水洗身并服咒水。一切溪毒尽 现代汉语译本： 停止。 这时，世尊观察到这些含识（指众生的心识）被咒语的毒害所侵扰，便说出心咒来解除之前的毒害。咒语是： 怛侄他（即说咒曰）壹哩弥哩哦啰弥哩斫俱卢斫俱仑哦啰弥弥俱吒曳俱吒曳帝素普吒曳帝素普吒曳帝那我黎那迦斫迦兰底黎一车尾洒鸡怛吒怛吒悉怛吒悉怛吒悉怛吒娑婆诃（这是一段音译的咒语，无法直接翻译其含义） 这时，世尊说完这个咒语后，所有的毒龙、蝮蛇、蝎子都得以复活，四处逃散，毒性也无法发挥作用。因此，我现在告诉你们[某某某]子，你们要持诵这个常瞿利（Gangguli，一种女神）毒女身咒，不要高声喧哗，在龙蛇面前诵读，龙蛇听到必定会死去。佛告诉四众弟子，各位善男子，如果有人要救治世间众生的毒害，那么常瞿利童子的神咒都能治愈。这个常瞿利虽然显现的是女身，但实际上并非女子。善男子，诸佛菩萨的智慧神通能够为了众生显现种种身形，摄伏和化解各种毒害，不让那些恶毒的龙蛇侵扰众生。如果有人听到常瞿利大明身咒，之后七年都不会被毒所伤害，也能摧灭身体中的毒素。 这时，世尊又告诉降怨鸟王（Garuda，一种神鸟），你们这些同心同力的眷属，拥有强大的力量，在我灭度后的末法时代，也必须收摄各种毒物，[某某某]鸟，[某某某]鸟王九万眷属都要追随和听从调遣，一万[某某某][某某某]都要听从指挥。听到我的常瞿利大明咒，都要随顺、资助和役使，方便救护众生，不得违逆。 这时，佛告诉四众弟子，各位善男子，这个常瞿利毒女身咒能治疗世间万种毒害，如蛇、蛱（一种小飞虫）、蝎、𠹗（蝎子）、恶疮、痈疮、痈疽、丁疮、山源溪毒、生金毒、药物以及各种蛊毒。只要用咒语加持水，然后服用或用水漱口含咽，或者用咒语加持毒药三遍，每次念诵七遍，一切毒害的根源自然会消除，毒性也无法造成伤害。如果患了溪毒，用咒语加持的水洗身并服用，一切溪毒都会消失。

At this time, after the World Honored One spoke this mantra, all the poisonous dragons (毒龙), vipers (蝮蛇), and scorpions (蝎子) were revived, scattered in all directions, and their venom could not take effect. Therefore, I now tell you, [so-and-so] son, you should uphold this mantra of Gangguli (常瞿利, a goddess) the Poisonous Maiden, do not speak loudly, and recite it before dragons and snakes; the dragons and snakes will surely die upon hearing it. The Buddha told the fourfold assembly, 'Good men, if someone wants to cure the poison of sentient beings in the world, then the divine mantra of Gangguli the Youth can cure it. Although this Gangguli appears as a female body, she is not actually a woman. Good men, the wisdom and spiritual powers of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas can manifest various forms for the sake of sentient beings, subduing and transforming all kinds of poisons, preventing those evil poisonous dragons and snakes from harming sentient beings. If someone hears the Great Bright Body Mantra of Gangguli, they will not be harmed by poison for the next seven years, and they can also destroy the poison within their bodies.' At this time, the World Honored One again told the Garuda (降怨鸟王, a divine bird), 'You, with your united and powerful retinue, must also gather various poisons in the Dharma-Ending Age after my Nirvana, [so-and-so] birds, [so-and-so] nine hundred thousand Garuda kings must follow and obey orders, ten thousand [so-and-so] [so-and-so] must listen to commands. Upon hearing my Great Bright Mantra of Gangguli, you must all comply, assist, and serve, conveniently protecting sentient beings, and must not disobey.' At this time, the Buddha told the fourfold assembly, 'Good men, this mantra of Gangguli the Poisonous Maiden can cure all kinds of poisons in the world, such as those from snakes (蛇), small flying insects (蛱), scorpions (蝎), 𠹗 (scorpions), malignant sores (恶疮), carbuncles (痈疮), boils (痈疽), furuncles (丁疮), mountain stream poisons (山源溪毒), raw gold poison (生金毒), medicines, and various gu poisons (蛊毒). Simply bless water with the mantra, then drink it or rinse the mouth and swallow, or bless the poison three times with the mantra, reciting it seven times each time, and the root of all poisons will naturally be eliminated, and the poison will not be able to cause harm.
