吒天王白佛言。世尊我亦以佛神力宣说延命陀罗尼曰。 唵嚩日罗(二合)谕势未临嚩嚩嚩娑嚩(二合)贺 说是陀罗尼已。令诸众生获金刚寿命无夭横故。 尔时佛告四天王言。若有众生怖畏死难病苦夭横。有如是苦。但书写此经受持读诵。或别持此陀罗尼。或画普贤延命像。作此方法依月一日八日十五日。建立道场烧四十九灯。花香果药各置十六器散于坛上。合掌礼拜高声赞咏此陀罗尼。及忏悔往咎。不堕三恶道。舍此身获得金刚寿命更不轮回。若有比丘尼及四众。转读此经而不废忘。离于短命夭横之怖。及夜恶梦厌魅咒咀恶形罗刹鸟鸣百怪之属。亦不为水火兵毒之所伤害。一切诸佛及大菩萨摄受护念。亦得诸佛之所护念。 尔时世尊说是经已。菩萨摩诃萨天人四众及毗沙门天王等一切大众。皆大欢喜信受奉行。 佛说一切如来心光明加持普贤菩萨延命金刚最胜陀罗尼经 现代汉语译本： 持国天王（Dhṛtarāṣṭra）对佛说：‘世尊，我也凭借佛的神力宣说延命陀罗尼，内容如下：’ ‘唵 嚩日罗（二合）谕势未临 嚩嚩嚩 娑嚩（二合）贺’ ‘念诵此陀罗尼后，能使一切众生获得金刚般的寿命，免于夭折横死。’ 这时，佛告诉四大天王说：‘若有众生畏惧死亡、病苦和夭折横死等痛苦，只要书写此经，受持读诵，或者单独持诵此陀罗尼，或者绘制普贤延命菩萨像。按照这种方法，在每月初一、初八、十五日，建立道场，点燃四十九盏灯，用花、香、水果、药物各十六份，散布在坛上。合掌礼拜，高声赞咏此陀罗尼，并忏悔以往的罪过，就不会堕入三恶道，舍弃此身之后，获得金刚寿命，不再轮回。若有比丘、比丘尼以及四众弟子，转读此经而不遗忘，就能远离短命夭折的恐惧，以及夜间的恶梦、魇魅、咒诅、丑恶的罗刹、鸟鸣怪异等。也不会被水、火、兵器、毒药所伤害。一切诸佛及大菩萨都会摄受护念，也能得到诸佛的护念。’ 这时，世尊说完这部经后，菩萨摩诃萨、天人四众以及毗沙门天王（Vaiśravaṇa）等一切大众，都非常欢喜，信受奉行。 《佛说一切如来心光明加持普贤菩萨延命金刚最胜陀罗尼经》

English version: Dhṛtarāṣṭra (Guardian King of the East) said to the Buddha: 'World Honored One, I also, by the power of the Buddha, proclaim the longevity-extending dhāraṇī, which is as follows:' 'Oṃ vajra-yuṣe vimala vava vava svāhā' 'Having spoken this dhāraṇī, it enables all sentient beings to obtain a vajra-like lifespan, free from untimely and violent death.' At that time, the Buddha told the Four Heavenly Kings: 'If there are sentient beings who fear death, suffering from illness, and untimely or violent death, and experience such suffering, they should simply write this sutra, receive, uphold, read, and recite it, or separately uphold this dhāraṇī, or draw an image of Samantabhadra (Universal Worthy) Longevity Extender. Following this method, on the first, eighth, and fifteenth days of each month, establish a maṇḍala, light forty-nine lamps, and place sixteen offerings each of flowers, incense, fruits, and medicine, scattering them on the altar. Join your palms in reverence, loudly praise and chant this dhāraṇī, and repent of past transgressions, so as not to fall into the three evil realms. After abandoning this body, they will obtain a vajra-like lifespan and no longer be reborn in the cycle of reincarnation. If there are bhikṣus (monks), bhikṣuṇīs (nuns), and the fourfold assembly (monks, nuns, laymen, and laywomen) who transmit and read this sutra without forgetting, they will be free from the fear of short life and untimely death, as well as nightmares, bewitchment, curses, hideous rākṣasas (demons), ominous bird calls, and all kinds of strange occurrences. They will also not be harmed by water, fire, weapons, or poison. All Buddhas and great Bodhisattvas will embrace, protect, and remember them, and they will also receive the protection of all Buddhas.' At that time, after the World Honored One finished speaking this sutra, the Bodhisattvas Mahāsattvas, the fourfold assembly of gods and humans, and Vaiśravaṇa (Guardian King of the North), along with all the great assembly, were all greatly delighted, believed, accepted, and practiced it.
