English version: The Sutra of the Dhāraṇī Spoken by the Buddha on the Uṣṇīṣa of the Greatly Majestic Golden Wheel, the Supremely Radiant Light Tathāgata, for the Elimination of All Disasters Translated in the Tang Dynasty (translator lost) At that time, Śākyamuni Buddha resided in the Pure Abode Heaven Palace and addressed Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva-mahāsattva, as well as the fourfold assembly, the eight classes of gods and dragons, the great sky-faring deities, the nine planets (Navagraha), the seven luminaries (Saptarishi), the deities of the twelve zodiacal palaces (Zodiac deities), the twenty-eight constellations (Nakshatra), the sun, the moon, and all the stars. 'In the past, at the place of Śālarāja Buddha, I received this Dhāraṇī Dharma on the Uṣṇīṣa of the Greatly Majestic Golden Wheel, the Supremely Radiant Light Tathāgata, for the Elimination of All Disasters. In future ages, if there are kingdoms where the sun, moon, five planets, Rāhu, Ketu, comets, meteors, monstrous and evil stars shine upon the assigned natal palaces and constellations, or upon the imperial throne, causing encroachment and oppression upon the country, the home, and the governed territories, bringing forth various calamities, one should establish a maṇḍala in a clean place. With a sincere mind, uphold this Dhāraṇī Sutra one hundred and eight times or one thousand and eighty times. If one can cultivate and purify the altar for one day, two days, or even seven days, upholding, reciting, and chanting it according to the Dharma, all calamities will naturally be eliminated and unable to cause harm. If the great white fire star enters the Southern Dipper constellation, causing calamities to the country, the home, and the governed territories, one should draw an image of that Śatru (enemy) before an image of an angry deity and recite this mantra to bless it. Then the calamity will be dispersed and transferred to those who disobey the king's commands and act rebelliously.' Then the Buddha spoke the Dhāraṇī mantra: 'Namo samanta buddhānām apratihata śāsanānām oṃ khakha khāhi khāhi hūṃ hūṃ jvala jvala prajvala prajvala tiṣṭha tiṣṭha ṣṭri ṣṭri' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(二合)哩萨发(二合)吒萨发(二合)吒扇底迦室哩(二合)曳娑嚩(二合)贺 佛言若国界分野及男子女人。被诸天星辰所临身形。但书写此经志心受持读诵。常须护净。此陀罗尼一切如来同共宣说。能成就八万种大吉祥事。复能灭除八万种大不吉祥事。若有国王大臣及诸眷属一切庶民。或被五星罗睺计都彗孛怪恶诸宿。陵逼帝座于国于家并分野处所属宫宿。灾难竞起。或土星侵陵或进或退。及宿世怨家欲相谋害。诸恶横事口舌厌祷咒诅符书以为灾难。令诸众生依法受持。一切灾祸不能为害。变灾为福皆得吉祥。我说此真言不可思议功德无比。秘密受持勿妄宣传。佛告大众若有国界不安灾难起时。及男子女人灾详变祸。但请僧众如法建立道场安置佛像洁戒护持。香花灯烛随分供养。令诸众生获福无量其灾即除。 尔时如来复告大众。若人行年被金木水火土五星。及罗睺计都日月诸宿临身。灾难竞起。我有大吉祥真言名破宿曜。若能受持志心忆念。其灾自灭变祸为福。即说真言曰。 唵(引)萨嚩诺刹咀啰(二合)糁摩曳室哩曳扇底迦呴嚧萨婆诃 尔时如来说是经时。文殊师利菩萨摩诃萨。及诸四众游空大天诸星辰等一切圣众。咸依佛敕顶礼奉持各还本宫。天龙八部等闻佛所说。皆大欢喜 现代汉语译本：唵(引) 萨嚩 诺刹咀啰(二合) 糁摩曳 室哩曳 扇底迦 呴嚧 萨婆诃 佛说：如果国家疆域、地区以及男子女人，被诸天星辰所影响，只要书写此经，真心受持读诵，经常保持洁净。此陀罗尼是一切如来共同宣说的，能成就八万种大吉祥之事，又能灭除八万种大不吉祥之事。如果有国王、大臣以及他们的眷属和一切百姓，或者被五星、罗睺（Rāhu，印度神话中的恶魔）、计都（Ketu，印度神话中的彗星）、彗星、孛星等怪异凶恶的星宿，侵扰帝王的座位，对于国家、家庭以及地区所属的宫宿，灾难纷纷发生。或者土星侵凌，或进或退，以及宿世的怨家想要互相谋害，各种邪恶横生的事情、口舌是非、厌魅诅咒、符书等作为灾难，让众生依法受持此经，一切灾祸都不能造成伤害，变灾难为福报，都得到吉祥。我说这个真言有不可思议的功德，无比殊胜，秘密受持，不要随意宣传。佛告诉大众，如果有国家疆域不安宁，灾难发生的时候，以及男子女人遭遇灾祸变故，只要请僧众如法建立道场，安置佛像，保持洁净戒律，香、花、灯烛随自己的能力供养，让众生获得无量的福报，他们的灾难就会立即消除。 这时，如来又告诉大众：如果有人流年不利，被金、木、水、火、土五星，以及罗睺（Rāhu，印度神话中的恶魔）、计都（Ketu，印度神话中的彗星）、日月等星宿影响，灾难纷纷发生。我有大吉祥真言，名为破宿曜，如果能受持，真心忆念，灾难自然消灭，变祸为福。即说真言： 唵(引) 萨嚩 诺刹咀啰(二合) 糁摩曳 室哩曳 扇底迦 呴嚧 萨婆诃 这时，如来说这部经的时候，文殊师利菩萨摩诃萨（Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva Mahāsattva），以及诸四众弟子、游空大天、诸星辰等一切圣众，都依从佛的教敕，顶礼奉持，各自回到自己的宫殿。天龙八部等听闻佛所说，都非常欢喜。

English version: Om Sarva Nakshatra Samayeshriye Shantika Huru Svaha The Buddha said: 'If a country's territory, regions, and men and women are influenced by various celestial stars, simply write this sutra, sincerely uphold, recite, and always maintain cleanliness. This Dharani is jointly proclaimed by all Tathagatas, capable of accomplishing eighty thousand kinds of great auspicious events and eliminating eighty thousand kinds of great inauspicious events. If there are kings, ministers, and their families, and all common people, or if they are afflicted by the Five Planets, Rahu (Rāhu, a demon in Hindu mythology), Ketu (Ketu, a comet in Hindu mythology), comets, and other strange and evil stars, encroaching upon the imperial throne, causing disasters to arise in the country, family, and the palace constellations to which the region belongs. Or if Saturn encroaches, advancing or retreating, and enemies from past lives seek to harm each other, with various evil and unexpected events, verbal disputes, enchantments, curses, talismans, and written spells causing disasters, let sentient beings uphold this sutra according to the Dharma. All calamities will be unable to cause harm, transforming disasters into blessings, and all will attain auspiciousness. I say that this mantra has inconceivable merit and is incomparably supreme. Secretly uphold it and do not propagate it carelessly.' The Buddha told the assembly, 'If a country's territory is not peaceful and disasters arise, and if men and women encounter calamities and misfortunes, simply invite the Sangha to establish a Dharma assembly according to the Dharma, place Buddha images, maintain cleanliness and precepts, and offer incense, flowers, lamps, and candles according to one's ability, enabling sentient beings to obtain immeasurable blessings, and their disasters will be immediately eliminated.' At that time, the Tathagata further told the assembly: 'If a person's annual fortune is unfavorable, being influenced by the Five Planets of metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, as well as Rahu (Rāhu, a demon in Hindu mythology), Ketu (Ketu, a comet in Hindu mythology), the sun, the moon, and other stars, causing disasters to arise, I have a great auspicious mantra called 'Destroying the Stars of Calamity.' If one can uphold it and sincerely remember it, the disasters will naturally be eliminated, transforming misfortune into blessings.' Then he spoke the mantra: Om Sarva Nakshatra Samayeshriye Shantika Huru Svaha At that time, when the Tathagata spoke this sutra, Manjushri Bodhisattva Mahasattva (Mañjuśrī Bodhisattva Mahāsattva), and the fourfold assembly, the great celestial beings traveling in the sky, all the stars, and all the holy assembly, all followed the Buddha's command, bowed in reverence, upheld it, and each returned to their respective palaces.
