English version The Dhāraṇī Sutra of the Hearts of All Buddhas Translated under Imperial Order by the Tripiṭaka Master Xuanzang of the Great Tang Dynasty Thus have I heard: At one time, the Bhagavan (Blessed One) dwelt in the jeweled maṇḍala in the realm of the Tathāgata (Thus-Gone One), a place inhabited and delighted in by all Buddhas, a wondrous palace of Bodhisattvas (Enlightenment Beings) free from doubt and hesitation. Adorned with various subtle embellishments, it constantly resounded with the Dharma, a hall of great merit. He was with countless great Bodhisattvas, all true sons of the Dharma-body of the Tathāgata, who had come from various Buddha-lands, and surrounded by a multitude of Arhats (Worthy Ones), including immeasurable gods, humans, asuras (demigods), and others. At that time, the World-Honored One said to the Bodhisattva-Mahāsattvas (Great Enlightenment Beings): ‘Good sons, there is a dhāraṇī (incantation) called ‘The Heart of All Buddhas,’ spoken in unison by Buddhas as numerous as the sands of the Ganges (Ganga). It can universally benefit those who are fearful. If there are those who sincerely receive, uphold, recite, and chant it, they will transcend the extreme suffering of birth and death for hundreds of thousands of kalpas (aeons), and will surely attain Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi (Unsurpassed Perfect Enlightenment). They will be able to cultivate quickly without ever regressing, and until they attain Anuttara-samyak-sambodhi, they will never be born in vain in a world without Buddhas. They will always be able to understand all dhāraṇīs well, constantly see the Tathāgata, and draw near to make offerings. They will always remember their past lives and deeply believe in cause and effect. It can cause present-day humans and non-humans to eliminate all grudges and harm, prevent diseases from invading, and prevent premature death. All evil demonic affairs will be completely extinguished, and all evil karma will be eliminated without exception. All demonic armies will be terrified and scattered. Good sons, the words and phrases of this dhāraṇī are praised by all Buddhas together, and are the words and phrases of all Buddhas.
