五百人复报言：“亦无所取无所放。” 须菩提复问言：“卿曹死生已断耶？” 五百人复报言：“本断亦无所见。” 须菩提复问言：“卿曹住能于忍地耶？” 五百人复报言：“一切已脱着中去。” 时须菩提问事以所可报五百人。 尔时百二十万人，及诸天、鬼神、龙皆得须陀洹道，千三百比丘皆得阿罗汉道。佛说经已，比丘、比丘尼、优婆塞、优婆夷，诸天、世人、鬼神、龙皆欢喜，前为佛作礼而去。 佛说遗日摩尼宝经 现代汉语译本：五百人回答说：‘也没有什么需要获取，也没有什么需要放下。’ 须菩提又问：‘你们的生死已经断绝了吗？’ 五百人回答说：‘本来就断绝了，也没有看到断绝的迹象。’ 须菩提又问：‘你们安住于忍地（指菩萨修行所达到的境界）了吗？’ 五百人回答说：‘一切都已经从执着中解脱了。’ 这时，须菩提就所能问的事情询问了这五百人。 当时，一百二十万人，以及诸天、鬼神、龙都证得了须陀洹道（小乘初果），一千三百位比丘都证得了阿罗汉道（小乘最高果位）。佛说完这部经后，比丘、比丘尼、优婆塞（男居士）、优婆夷（女居士），诸天、世人、鬼神、龙都非常欢喜，上前向佛作礼后离去。 《佛说遗日摩尼宝经》

English version: The five hundred people replied, 'There is nothing to grasp and nothing to release.' Subhuti further asked, 'Have you severed the cycle of birth and death?' The five hundred people replied, 'It was originally severed, and there is no sign of severance to be seen.' Subhuti further asked, 'Do you dwell in the land of patience (referring to the state attained by Bodhisattvas in their practice)?' The five hundred people replied, 'All have already been released from attachments.' At that time, Subhuti asked the five hundred people about what could be asked. At that time, one million two hundred thousand people, as well as gods, ghosts, and dragons, all attained the Srotaapanna path (the first stage of Hinayana), and one thousand three hundred monks all attained the Arhat path (the highest stage of Hinayana). After the Buddha finished speaking this sutra, monks, nuns, upasakas (male lay practitioners), upasikas (female lay practitioners), gods, people of the world, ghosts, and dragons were all delighted, bowed to the Buddha, and departed.
