Collection of Instructions by the Great Scholar Shakya Chokden skc64, Treatise entitled 'One Hundred and Eight Teachings'. Treatise entitled 'One Hundred and Eight Teachings'. Namo Buddhaya (Homage to the Buddha)! Treatise entitled 'One Hundred and Eight Teachings'. Om Svasti Siddham! (May there be well-being and accomplishment!) The three turnings of the wheel of Dharma by the Teacher himself, and the treatises of the six ornaments of Jambudvipa (the six great commentators on Buddhist philosophy in India), and the gateway to the scriptures of many accomplished masters, to distinguish without error, this is the teaching called 'One Hundred and Eight Teachings'. In all aspects of all dharmas, only the fully enlightened Buddha is the protector of all Dharma speakers and the source of glory; this is amazing! Whoever claims to be the maker of the four Vedas, displaying various wonders of Dharma and politics, but has not contemplated the profound truth of Dharma, remains on the shore of this side (samsara). Abandoning the craving for worldly existence, those who have gained confidence in the state of selflessness of persons and dharmas, they have entered the great mansion of Dharma; otherwise, they remain on the shore of the other side (nirvana). The dancer who steals the pride of the powerful with various magical displays, if he has not contemplated this profound and vast principle, and merely claims to be the lord of samsara and nirvana, is sleeping in the house of the chariot of the mind. This Dharma is not oppressed by the mountain of self-view, and is revered by all who are intoxicated by the pride of many other philosophical positions. My teacher is like a golden lotus womb that produces various wonders; he turns the pure wheel of Brahma (divine wheel of Dharma), I prostrate to him! For the profound and vast Dharma, to explain its system without error, the Teacher Buddha and the six ornaments of Jambudvipa, most of their great traditions, have not declined, the accomplished ones and the eloquent speakers, in this land of snow (Tibet), many former sages have passed away to other pure lands, and it has been a long time here. Now, many later words are mixed with truth and falsehood, to clarify without confusion, this is the key called 'One Hundred and Eight Teachings', to analyze the three doors of the essential points of the wheel of Dharma. This is the praise and the vow to compose. First: Namo Buddhaya (Homage to the Buddha)! Reaching the end of the fruit of the perfections --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is the fruit of the Dharmakaya, possessing all qualities and without differentiation. The wisdom Dharmakaya and the Svabhavikakaya (nature body), as well as the two manifested Rupakayas (form bodies), are all encompassed by the conventional and sentient beings' consciousness. This is the treatise of the venerable Maitreya. The Dharmadhatu (realm of reality), free from all obscurations, emptiness itself is the Dharmakaya. Through aspiration and merit, the Sambhogakaya (enjoyment body) is manifested. The Buddha himself and the consciousness of sentient beings cannot encompass it. This is clearly stated in the non-controversial treatises of Chandrakirti and Shantideva. At the pinnacle of the supreme vehicle, the ultimate fruit is the union of the two bodies, the Sambhogakaya. Not only is it encompassed by the Buddha's own ground, but also, in manifestation, whatever arises in the mind with conceptual thoughts is also the conventional illusory body. It is the wisdom of the practitioner and the non-duality of the two aspects. This is the view of some commentators on the 'Garland of the Holy Ones,' who believe that the complete and perfect Buddha does not possess the wisdom of his own lineage, but directly establishes the ultimate union of the Sambhogakaya on the tenth Bhumi (level of a Bodhisattva), following the views of scriptures such as the 'Brave Going Sutra'. They say it should be explained in this way. The union that is learned in this way is not the absence of learning quiescence. Light and union, after negating both as non-existent, no other way of establishing it is found, therefore the classification of the five stages disappears. The explanation of Ngaggi Wangchuk Drakpa (Lord of Speech Fame), which truly possesses the seven branches of union, is the ultimate fruit of mantra. Auspicious! Namo Dharmaya! Namo Dharmaya! The essence of the teachings is the three vows, and the way to possess them in order is: transforming the place, the essence being one, subduing afflictions, and not losing other qualities. To understand this, first transform the place. The venerable (Tsongkhapa) said that Panchen (Pandita) believed that the essence is one, which can also be established through the power of scripture and reasoning. If we explain this view in a little more detail, the so-called 'place,' if explained as something other than the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, then it is not the saying of the wise. The so-called 'transformation' refers to liberation from temporary faults and the increase of qualities. This is clearly stated in the treatises of the two great chariot traditions of India. Therefore, the place of all pure qualities is the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. Through familiarizing oneself with it, it transforms into the nature of the mind of the one who familiarizes himself. When the Pratimoksha Bhikshu vow is in accordance with the Mahayana Bodhicitta, abandoning the intention to seek liberation, it transforms into a complete Bodhisattva. After that, Vajradhara... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
