Collection of Instructions by the Great Scholar Shakya Chokden skc1, Catalogue of the Collected Works of Panchen Chokyi Gyalpo. Catalogue of the Collected Works of Panchen Chokyi Gyalpo. Namo Guru Bhyah! Having been empowered to the supreme religious kingdom of glorious Shakya Sengge, and with the princes of the ten directions, together with their students, paying homage, possessing all virtues, proclaiming the Dharma with immaculate wisdom, you are the amiable friend of Manjushri, the sovereign of the three realms! Like the magical dance of compassion of the invincible Victorious One, like the moon's reflection in every stream, you appear in the minds of countless beings. Who could possibly enumerate your boundless qualities? Nevertheless, you have accepted and prophesied many incarnations counted as wise and accomplished, such as རྟ་དབྱངས་དཔའ་བོ་, རྔོག་ལོ་, རྨ་བྱ་བྱང་ཆུབ་བརྩོན་འགྲུས་, and others. Among them, towering like the crest jewel of a victory banner, is the omniscient Pandit who knows the five complete sciences, Shakya Chokden, also known as Drime Lodro (Immaculate Wisdom), who has become a second teacher for the Victorious One's doctrine. Having taken his seat upon the throne of the four fearlessnesses, he is the chief of all the wise and accomplished ones who are victorious in all directions. He is the sole ornament of Jambudvipa (the world), unrivaled in upholding the teachings through teaching, debate, and composition. In particular, he has elucidated the unparalleled path of the single way traversed by the Victorious Ones of the three times, the great chariots of the wise and accomplished ones, the single intention, the essence of all profound philosophical views. This very essence was later led astray by many self-proclaimed scholars, but he blocked that effort and established the tradition of the former masters, a truly extraordinary deed. This collection of texts, like a mountain of volumes, abides as the embodiment of the teachings. Upon seeing it, scholars who contemplate the definitive meaning will surely be filled with wonder. This catalogue, which lays out its contents, reveals the marvels of the author and is a supreme form of praise. The biographies of the actual Vajradhara, Changlungpa Jey (སྤྱང་ལུང་རྗེ་), and the omniscient Shakya, the great omniscient Donyo Pal (ཀུན་མཁྱེན་ཆེན་པོ་དོན་ཡོད་དཔལ་), together with the Kyensak (སྤྱན་སྔ་) brothers, and the biography of Ngoklo (རྔོག་ལོ་), and many collections of praises to Yongdzin (ཡོངས་འཛིན་). Verses of praise to the Victorious Ones and their sons, and collections of praises, answers to many questions from earlier and later times, and collections of various letters. With the seven precious gems of the Kalachakra, he is revered as the one who turns the wheel of the union of two truths. In the teachings of the perfectly accomplished Buddhas and Guhyasamaja (Tantric deity), a hundred gates of liberation are opened, and the definitive meanings such as the Five Stages are explained in order. Like a clear mirror, it vividly reflects the intentions of the supreme gurus. From the treasury of the hundred and eight Dharma names, it fulfills the wishes for Dharma. Generally gathering all the Tantra divisions, it accomplishes the supreme deities and reveals numerous doors for guidance and mind analysis. The explanations of texts like the 'Manjushri-nāma-saṃgīti' (Praise of Manjushri's Names), many dharanis, and other mantras have been translated into Tibetan and compiled into the Mantra section. The 'Mūlamadhyamakakārikā' (Fundamental Verses on the Middle Way) is like a wish-fulfilling mountain, viewed through the path of the three doors (body, speech, and mind). The waves of explanations extensively describe its body and limbs. The commentary on the 'Abhisamayalankara' (Ornament of Clear Realization) with the essential lamp clearly reveals the definitive meaning of the Maitreya's teachings. From the great ocean of scripture and reasoning, the rivers of the four annotations flow. Grinding the mountain of wrong views into powder, the vajra of fearless speech blazes. Distilling the essence of the ocean of scriptural teachings in the definitive meaning that distinguishes the two truths. Illuminating the stages of the Maitreya's teachings with an unprecedented sun. Ascending closely, in the Tushita heaven, the nectar of profound peace, free from elaboration, is attained. 'Mūlamadhyamakakārikā' (Fundamental Verses), 'Madhyamakāvatāra' (Entering the Middle Way), 'Dharmadhātustava' (Praise of the Dharmadhatu), 'Bodhicittavivarana' (Explanation of the Awakening Mind), and the great commentary. Enumerating the roots of others' faults, clearly stating one hundred and eight actual points. Combining thousands of scriptures and reasonings that destroy them, in two sizes, large and small. The difficult commentary on 'Mūlamadhyamakakārikā' (Fundamental Verses), the feast of Kunda, containing drops of definitive nectar. With the wheel of Brahma, tearing apart all the illusions of others' praises of dependent origination. The source of Dharma in 'Tsadma Namdrel' (Commentary on Valid Cognition), delighting the discerning, swirling in the ocean of Samantabhadra's play. With the light of reasoning blazing in the difficult commentary, all the illusions of speculation are eliminated. The essence of speculation, in two sizes, large and small, is the key to the seven treasuries of bliss. The treasury of knowledge, the treasury of philosophical tenets, is the ocean of eloquence of the seven sections. The mirror clarifying the Mind-Only school and the short spear of the pervader are thoroughly displayed. The difficult commentary on the Vinaya, adorned with the chariot of the sun and beautified with a garland of white lotuses. The Vinaya precepts of the three vehicles, and the abbreviated precepts for specific times. Eloquent speech, definitive statements, the ritual of fasting, and the ocean of nectar filling the three bases. The waves of the ocean of Yogachara texts swirl in the ocean of Abhidharma. Explaining the meaning of the condensed collection of elements, calculations, places, philosophical tenets, and the three divisions. Opening with a golden needle of good speech, the delightful feast of white lotuses is seen. Spreading the garland of condensed meanings, proclaiming the thunder of scripture and reasoning. The 'Heart Sutra' and the 'Aryamanjushri-buddha-kshetra-guna-vyuha-sutra' (The Questions of Manjushri). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
