Because it was said that there were no possessions, it was reported that there was nothing to offer to him. He said, "How pitiful," and then wrote the 'Bum (One Hundred Thousand Verses), and said to allow the offering place to recite one hundred 'Bums (One Hundred Thousand Verses). He asked if there was Tsampa (Champak flower), and then he himself made one hundred thousand water offerings. He said that the two old people became long-lived, free from illness, and wealthy because of this Dharma. The benefits of the Great Mother 'Bum (One Hundred Thousand Verses) Small Section, one hundred thousand times, are complete. In another translation, it is said that when the Blessed One was residing, King Bimbisara and Queen Magadhi had a son named Dge-chen, who was seized by obstacles and was about to die. The king quickly went to the presence of the Blessed One, cried out in lamentation, and reported to the Blessed One: "I have only one son, and he is seized by obstacles and is about to die. Please bestow a method to prevent him from dying." After he said this, the Blessed One said: "King, offer to the Three Jewels, give water offerings that satisfy the six realms, and recite the extensive 'Bum (One Hundred Thousand Verses) one hundred times in one day, and you will be averted from untimely death and freed from illness." After hearing this, the king requested: "Blessed One, please bestow a method to recite the extensive 'Bum (One Hundred Thousand Verses) one hundred times in one day." After he said this, the Blessed One bestowed this Small Section 'Bum (One Hundred Thousand Verses), and the king quickly proclaimed this Small Section 'Bum (One Hundred Thousand Verses). The prince was freed from illness, became wealthy and long-lived, the country was peaceful and prosperous, and the kingdom flourished. Furthermore, there are infinite benefits. Jowo-je (Lord Atisha) resided in Nepal Asura. The Nepalese completed writing it in Sanskrit verses. Jowo-je (Lord Atisha), the glorious Atisha, after examining all the scriptures for twelve years, said that only this Small Section 'Bum (One Hundred Thousand Verses) has extremely great benefits, and it is important for future generations to also value reading and reciting it. Small Section 'Bum (One Hundred Thousand Verses)
