He should perform the peaceful homa according to the manual, and draw the symbols of the nine deities. Pile firewood on the altar. Place the fire pit in the southeast corner. The opening of the fire pit should face west, and in front of it, place the practitioner's seat, incense water, stone bell, ladle, etc., and paint the fire screen with white ash, meditating on it as Mount Kailash. On the practitioner's right, arrange eleven substances for burning, such as willow branches, butter, and sesame seeds. On the left, arrange two waters and five sensory offerings. In front of them, arrange the deceased's torma, the fire deity, and three portions of torma. In the morning or afternoon, first perform bathing and cleansing. At the end of every hundred supplementary words, recite: From beginningless time, all the sins and habitual tendencies I have accumulated, and all the omissions and deficiencies of the secret mantra, śāntiṃ kuru svāhā (藏文：ཤནྟིཾ་ཀུ་རུ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：śāntiṃ kuru svāhā，汉语字面意思：Pacify, do, Svaha). If there are not enough burnt offerings, just poplar wood and a little sesame are enough. To complete the recitation, offer one-tenth of the sesame seeds. Again, like the previous welcoming offerings, pour three spoonfuls of ghee, and increase the offerings, performing detailed or brief offerings and praises. First, offer the torma to the Blessed One and his retinue. Perform offerings, praises, and prayers. Then give three shares. Recite the Hundred Syllable Mantra as much as possible, and ask for forgiveness for omissions and other faults. Recite: Om, you are the wisdom being who has arrived. Smear a little ash from the fire pit on your forehead, and visualize the samaya being dissolving into yourself. Pour a spoonful of ghee into the fire, reciting: Oṃ vajra jvāla raṃ (藏文：ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཛྭ་ལ་རཾ།，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ vajra jvāla raṃ，汉语字面意思：Om, Vajra, flame, Ram). The fire god appears in the form of face and hands. Offer the remaining burnt offerings as appropriate. Offer farewell offerings like welcoming offerings. Bless the torma by reciting 'Oṃ āḥ hūṃ' (藏文：ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་，梵文天城体：，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ āḥ hūṃ，汉语字面意思：Om, Ah, Hum) three times, and at the end of the name mantra, offer it with the Akashagarbha mudra. Perform offerings and praises, and ask the fire god and his retinue for wishes. Ask for forgiveness for omissions and other faults. Dismiss with 'My benefit' etc. Protect your three places, and perform dedication, aspiration, and auspicious prayers. Thus, two or three times, to complete one-tenth of the number of the basic recitation, whenever possible. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
