For the benefit of all sentient beings, may I attain the state of perfect Buddhahood. For that purpose, please listen to and contemplate the profound permission of Jetsun Manjushri Arapacana with the supreme aspiration of Bodhicitta. Here, according to the Tantra of the One Hero, the empowerment of Arapacana, broadly speaking, involves the mandala of five deities; concisely, it involves the permission of the single main deity. Now, in accordance with the tradition of the Sakya forefathers, I will perform the granting of permission. The duties of the Vajra Master (including the necessary retinue) are now in place. Your role is to offer a mandala as disciples, requesting the profound permission from the Lama, who is inseparable from Jetsun Manjushri. Having offered the mandala in this way, please repeat the following supplication three times: 1-751 Supplication: All Buddhas of the three times, The very essence of the supreme deity, Through the kindness of the glorious Lama, Please grant me permission. Having made this supplication, in order to purify the mind-stream, please focus in this way: In the space before you, Jetsun Manjushri, inseparable from the Lama, surrounded by a host of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Light radiates from the heart of the Vajra Master, striking your bodies, purifying all sins and obscurations, transforming your bodies into a single mass of light. The essence of your own mind is the golden Dhīḥ (藏文：དྷཱིཿ，梵文天城体：धीः，梵文罗马拟音：dhīḥ，汉语字面意思： धीः) syllable. From that complete transformation, you arise as the venerable Mañjuśrī according to the sādhana. Again, pay homage to the guru. From the guru's heart, rays of light emanate. All the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions appear as forms of the venerable Mañjuśrī, some as large as Mount Meru, some as small as dust particles, an inconceivable multitude, and dissolve into the crown of your head and other places, and into your pores. Generate the faith of being blessed by the lineage. Recite Oṃ Ara Pa Ca Na Dhīḥ (藏文：ཨོཾ་ཨ་ར་པ་ཙ་ན་དྷཱིཿ，梵文天城体：ओṃ अर प च न धीः，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ a ra pa ca na dhīḥ，汉语字面意思：嗡 阿 Ra 巴 匝 纳 धीः) and Āveśaya Jaḥ Hūṃ Vaṃ Hoḥ (藏文：ཨ་བེ་ཤ་ཡ་ཛཿཧཱུྂ་བཾ་ཧོཿ) three times. This is the basis for the subsequent empowerment. The actual empowerment includes the transmission of recitation, the transmission of vows, and the transmission of blessings. For the meaning of the transmission of recitation, please visualize as follows: Both you and the guru are visualized as the venerable Mañjuśrī. In the heart, on a moon disc, there is a yellow four-spoked wheel. In the center of the wheel, to the right is Dhīḥ (藏文：དྷཱིཿ，梵文天城体：धीः，梵文罗马拟音：dhīḥ，汉语字面意思： धीः), to the left is A. On the four spokes, starting from the front and going clockwise, are Ra, Pa, Za, and Na. Visualize this, and with reverence, think of the guru as the actual venerable Mañjuśrī. From the Dhīḥ (藏文：དྷཱིཿ，梵文天城体：धीः，梵文罗马拟音：dhīḥ，汉语字面意思： धीः) syllable and mantra garland in the guru's heart, the mantra garland appears like one lamp lighting two. It comes out of the guru's mouth and enters your mouth, dissolving into the Dhīḥ (藏文：དྷཱིཿ，梵文天城体：धीः，梵文罗马拟音：dhīḥ，汉语字面意思： धीः) syllable and mantra garland in your heart. The first dissolves, the second blesses, and the third stabilizes. Generate this faith and please repeat this: Oṃ Ara Pa Ca Na Dhīḥ (藏文：ཨོཾ་ཨ་ར་པ་ཙ་ན་དྷཱིཿ，梵文天城体：ओṃ अर प च न धीः，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ a ra pa ca na dhīḥ，汉语字面意思：嗡 阿 Ra 巴 匝 纳 धीः). Again, both you and the guru are visualized as the venerable Mañjuśrī. On the tongue, there is a reddish-yellow Dhīḥ (藏文：དྷཱིཿ，梵文天城体：धीः，梵文罗马拟音：dhīḥ，汉语字面意思： धीः) syllable, with the head pointing downwards. Visualize this, and with reverence, pay homage to the guru.
