In a state free from (everything), without grasping anything with the mind, but naturally relaxing, then, whatever thought arises, at the very moment of its arising, because it is no different from the wisdom of non-thought and non-error, it arises from its own nature, appears in its own nature, and dissolves into its own nature. At that time, for that state, there is no thinking "what is this," there is no expressing it with words, because the duality of grasper and grasped is free from dharma, it is not "being," because the non-dual awareness manifests everything, it is not "non-being," because the two truths are united, there is no contradiction, because all dharmas are sealed with union, there is no non-pervasion, this is called the original natural flow of liberation from the very beginning. Third, the Result Great Seal: The tantra says, "The ground itself ripening into the result is the Result Great Seal." Therefore, the very nature or inherent state of all knowable things, manifesting and ripening, is the Result Great Seal, whose essence is the Dharmakaya emptiness and its corresponding (wisdom), its nature is the Sambhogakaya perfect enjoyment body and its corresponding (means), and its compassion is the Nirmanakaya unceasing self-display. For example, when the seed ripens into an ear of grain, only that seed grows into the ear of grain; there is no ear of grain separate from the seed, and no seed ripens separate from the ear of grain. Similarly, the original mind, the naturally pure essence, the changes of various conditions dissolving in themselves, remaining in its natural state as it is, is called the result: the essence of mind, empty and clear, the awareness unceasing, this is the Dharmakaya; the self-nature, the experience of clarity, inexpressible, this is the Sambhogakaya; the nature of compassion, whatever arises is self-liberated, this is the Nirmanakaya. Fourth, the method of practicing the Great Seal: The tantra says, "This is for the sake of the blessing sequence, the practice of the Great Seal." Therefore, receive this instruction from a lama who possesses lineage, possesses realization, and possesses compassion; from now on, visualize the lama as the Dharmakaya of the Buddha, and do not even measure his form body with the mind, (visualize yourself) merging into the lama, generating an unbearable feeling of separation, pray in this way, and through the lama's blessing, the realization of the Great Seal will naturally arise; therefore, there is no need to rely on other stages of the path, this is the practice of the single shortcut path, called the Great Seal.

Thus it is. For example, the sun possesses rays of light, fire is without cracks, smoke, and ash, and dry wood is without moisture. When these are gathered together, merely through their aggregation, fire will naturally arise from the wood. Similarly, when the blessings of the guru, one's own devotion, and the purity of one's own mindstream are gathered together, merely through supplication, the wisdom of Mahamudra will naturally arise. The method for purifying one's own mindstream is as follows: First, after receiving the instructions, dwell alone in a solitary place. Abandon all attachments, like throwing away a stone, like discarding trash. Having obtained this precious human body once, do not let it be wasted. Not knowing whether you will die tonight or die now, what should you do? After death, if your own mind has not grasped the essential point, then nothing else will be of help. Think about this repeatedly. Engage in refuge and bodhicitta extensively, and purify obscurations and accumulate merit through various means. In particular, visualize your own root guru in the center of your heart, thinking, "The Dharmakaya Mahamudra of the Buddha is precisely this." Pray intensely, until you feel exhausted. Then, for a period of time, let awareness rest in a state of non-thought, astonished, and a clear experience that cannot be expressed in words, as well as a bliss without attachment, will arise. Know that this is precisely the mind of the guru, your own mind, and the Dharmakaya Mahamudra, and then remain in a natural, spontaneous, self-liberated state. Initially, practice in short sessions with many repetitions, so that thoughts will dissipate like clouds. In the middle, prolong the practice time, and remain calmly in a state of non-thought. Finally, whether in meditation or post-meditation, reach a state of no interruption, where everything is extended into the realm of the single taste of Dharmata. In post-meditation, do not do anything in the mind, and conduct all activities in a state of clarity and pervasiveness. Even if you have realized such a state, generate great compassion for beings, and make aspirations that, in a way that is effortless, the benefit of beings will be spontaneously accomplished. This is a fragment of the oral instructions on the wisdom self-liberation of Mahamudra. Samaya. Gya Gya Gya. This profound treasure of immaculate Kunga, personally attained by Padma Osel Dorje Lingpa from Drakmar Drinpa Sangpo, is the ultimate instruction. Offered to Orgyen Chimey Tennyi Yungdrung Lingpa, may the lineage of realized meaning increase and expand like the sky! Mahamudra Direct Instructions: Wisdom Self-Liberation.
