Oh, Great Orgyen Guru Rinpoche! The beings of the degenerate age do not accumulate merit, their resources are poor, they lack perseverance and cannot practice. Although they practice the Great Perfection, they fear the disintegration of the elements. Please grant a method for accomplishing favorable conditions and resources, like a wish-fulfilling jewel! Thus, I prostrated many times and repeatedly requested. As I sat before the Guru with palms joined in single-pointedness, Orgyen, in a joyful manner, smiled and said: Ema! Faithful goddess, it is excellent that you ask for the benefit of beings! Although you do not feel impoverished, for the sake of the small mendicant, to accomplish its meaning, few words, great meaning, practice is near and quick, sharp and swift, profound and easy to use. I will teach the life practice of Zambala (Tibetan: ཛཾ་ལྷ་) Citta. Samaya (Tibetan: ས་མ་ཡ)! Gya, gya, gya (Tibetan: རྒྱ་རྒྱ་རྒྱ)! May it meet with a destined one! A method for increasing longevity and resources, the life-essence of the proud Yaksha. Now, I will teach the practice of Zambala (Tibetan: ཛམ་བྷ་ལ་) Citta, the God of Wealth. This is also taught in three ways: The outer practice, offering water to Yellow Zambala (Tibetan: ཛཾ་སེར་) and practicing; the inner practice, subduing with Red Zambala (Tibetan: ཛཾ་དམར་); the secret practice, employing Black Zambala (Tibetan: ཛམ་ནག་) and practicing. Among these, the first is the outer practice: One Arura (Tibetan: ཨ་རུ་ར་), golden in color. Write "Om Zambhala Jalandraya Ayu Punye Siddhi Pala Hum (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཛཾ་བྷ་ལ་ཛ་ལེནྡྲ་ཡ་ཨཱ་ཡུཿཔུཎྱེ་སིདྡྷི་ཕ་ལ་ཧཱུྃ)" with gold on red silk, and wrap the Arura. On its outer layer, write "Om Nidha Rini Su Graha Sayan Bha Prayada Nala Ha Sarva Siddhi Pala Hum (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ནི་དྷ་རི་ནི་སུ་གྲ་ས་ཡན་་་བྷ་པྲ་ཡད།ན་ལ་ཧ་སརྦ་སིདྡྷི་ཕ་ལ་ཧཱུྃ)" with cinnabar on white silk, and wrap the red one. On its outside, wrap it with cloth and make the shape of a jewel. Consecrate it and visualize one red Dzam (Tibetan: ཛཾ) syllable. Transform the pure water into nectar with Om Ah Hum (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ).
