Visualize light filling all worlds, and as a yogini with the nature of consciousness, with the chief of harm-doers, all the gods, demons, and eight classes of spirits of appearance and existence, gather here for a feast of flesh and blood! PHAṬ (Tibetan: ཕཊ྄ཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट्, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: phaṭ, literal Chinese meaning: PHAṬ)! By uttering this, imagine that gods and demons, as numerous as filling the sky, gather before you. Give them all the flesh and blood of the illusory body, as much as they desire, and imagine them devouring and drinking greedily, and taking away the leftovers. Now, do not have even a speck of attachment to this body. If you like flesh, eat flesh. If you like blood, drink blood. If you are in a hurry, eat now. If you are not in a hurry, cook it and eat it. May all the karmic debts accumulated from beginningless lifetimes be purified! PHAṬ (Tibetan: ཕཊ྄ཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट्, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: phaṭ, literal Chinese meaning: PHAṬ)! In your mind, give it away completely, and in your speech, say it likewise. Relax and loosen up in a state of indifference. Throw it away completely and leave it. Do this alternately as fear and dread arise. Now, the body has been given away to the gods and demons of appearance and existence, and it no longer exists. As for the mind, even I myself have not seen you. It is without foundation, without root, empty, and without self. Thus, without focusing on the self, the gods and demons, and the three objects of severance, rest equally in the state of the three emptinesses. By practicing in this way, three signs of accomplishment will arise: In manifestation, the gods and demons will show various ugly forms, and roar like dragons, threatening and intimidating; with the power of glory, the body will tremble and sweat; or it will become stiff and shaky, and unable to speak; and in dreams, various frightening things will appear. Thus, cut off these three signs of what is to be cut off with the three instructions for cutting, which are: superior non-attachment, intermediate attachment and meditation, and inferior analytical meditation. First, no matter what sign arises, do not examine or analyze it, but rest in a state of non-attachment like the sky. Second, attachment and meditation: by attaching to the sign and meditating, the clinging to fear will be purified. Third, analytical meditation: by analyzing the sign, determine that there is not even a speck of true existence in the empty forms of self-appearance and delusion, and then let them take the flesh and drink the blood. Third, the aftermath: By practicing in this way, four signs of completion will arise: common, special, subduing gods and demons, and supreme completion. Thus, when the signs of completion manifest and the path is completed, dedicate the merit at the time of departure.

And scatter flowers and make aspirations. With love and compassion, take hold of the harmful ones and spirits, and also give the gift of Dharma. By doing so, one can complete the accumulations and purify the obscurations. Because the clinging to the body is exhausted, bad conditions will appear as help. Realizing the essence of the mind, one will abide in the state of the Dharmakaya, the Great Bliss Mother, Prajnaparamita. The profound Cho practice, all the essential points, the order of practicing on a single seat, is called "The Laughing Roar of the Hero." This is based on the command of the all-knowing lama, the master of the lineage of all the victorious ones, who said, "Do it like this." Shakya bhikshu Rigpa 'dzinpa Gyurme Dorje clearly and easily wrote down the oral instructions of the ear-whispered lineage. The Oral Instructions of Blazing Bones. Extremely profound key points, if the disturbance of gods and demons is very serious, then practice the Blazing Bones method. That is, visualize the body as a white and large skeleton, with red flames blazing fiercely from all the gaps between the mouth, eyes, and ribs, filling the space for a long time. Finally, one's own body, together with the flames, dissolves into light, merging into the state of emptiness and clarity, without birth, death, or abiding, and abide in that state beyond thought and expression. Also, if the disturbance of harmful spirits such as kings is serious and other methods are difficult to subdue them, then visualize oneself as a body with great majesty, and from the heart, consciousness appears in the form of a yogini in the space in front. With the curved knife in the right hand, peel off the yellow skin of the form, and see that there is a pleasing inner chamber, thinking that the harmful spirits inside will come with joy and longing. Tie their mouths tightly with one's own intestines, and visualize that they have nowhere to escape. Then, visualize the right hand appearing as a yogini, stirring their heads and smashing them on the ground, turning them into a bloody mess, and throwing them to an endless and distant place. Finally, visualize all three—self, spirits, and Cho practice—as the self-manifesting play of mind and wisdom, and abide in the great emptiness that is free from elaboration and beyond thought. These two visualization rounds are not very clear in most Cho instructions, but for spirits, there is nothing deeper than this. My lama said so. The Oral Instructions of the Single Seat Cho Practice, the Laughing Roar of Power.
