The Empowerment of the Single Seat Chö Practice: The Roar of the Powerful. The Empowerment of the Single Seat Chö Practice: The Roar of the Powerful. Herein lies the Chö Practice of the Single Seat, called "The Roar of the Hero." Namo Guru. With a single pore's virtue, pleasing all Buddhas, the complete and clear manifestation of unimpaired abilities and forms, to the incomparable kindness of the root guru and the mother Prajnaparamita, I prostrate. The single path traversed by all Victorious Ones, the courageous slayer who is the antidote to outer and inner demonic forces, all the essence of the profound Chö practice instructions, I write the complete practice of the Single Seat. Furthermore, the essential instructions of the Mother of the Victorious Ones, the Prajnaparamita, the meaning of all the profound Chö instructions, the method of practicing on a Single Seat, is divided into three parts: preliminary, main practice, and subsequent activities. First, for an individual whose mindstream has been fully ripened by empowerment, and whose understanding of appearances as mind has been stabilized, severing outer and inner attachments, in a place where fearful appearances cause the mind to wander, such as a charnel ground or an empty valley. The time is generally when weakness, illness, demonic influences, or strong negative circumstances occur, and especially at night when fearful thoughts delude one's own mindstream. Do not think of confronting, fighting, or competing with gods and demons, but with the intention of placing all sentient beings, especially those who cause harm, in the state of Buddhahood, go forth without relying on companions, weapons, etc. Second, the main practice is as follows: On a lotus and moon seat on the crown of one's head, visualize Machig Jomo, inseparable from the Dharmakaya Great Mother, her body white with a reddish glow, her right hand holding a damaru and her left hand ringing a bell, her hair cascading down her back, naked, with a silk lower garment, adorned with the five seals, her splendor of marks and signs blazing brilliantly, seated in the vajra posture. Around her, visualize all the root and lineage gurus, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas, like a dense cloud, shining brightly. Recite: Namo Guru. Mother Prajnaparamita, victorious mother, inseparable Machig Jomo, queen of the dakinis, root and lineage gurus of the profound Chö practice, I supplicate you, please bless.

Please grant! I offer my body, possessions, and all things without any attachment, please accept them. For the benefit of all beings, relinquish self-grasping, and bless me to generate no unnecessary thoughts in my mind. Bless me to realize that my own mind is unborn and decisive, and to transform adverse conditions into the path. After praying in this way, visualize the lamas dissolving into light and merging into oneself. Then, relax the four limbs of the body and lie down, visualizing one's body as extremely large, majestic, and powerful, with the head touching the end of the valley, the feet touching the beginning of the valley, and the left and right ribs pressing down on the villages on either side. Recite in the mouth: Until the ocean of samsara is emptied, I shall never move from this place! Saying this, impress this meaning upon the mind. This will cause ghosts and spirits to flee, and one will not be deceived. Then, the blending of space and awareness: Visualize a clear and radiant white bindu of consciousness emerging from the soles of one's feet, passing through the inside of the body, shooting out from the crown of the head, dissolving into light, and awareness pervading as vast as the sky, abiding in the state of emptiness like the sky. In the old books, even if offerings are made with this illusory body of the degenerate age, according to the oral instructions of the whispered lineage, the white offering is: Visualize one's body appearing as a huge, majestic, plump, and pleasing form, from the heart emerges a wisdom dakini holding a curved knife and skull cup, she appears in the space in front, using the curved knife to cut off the skull from between the eyebrows, placing it in front. Cut the flesh and bones into pieces, put them inside, and bless them with (ཨོཾ,Oṃ,perfected), (ཨཱཿ,Āḥ,undefiled), (ཧཱུྃ,Hūṃ,immovable), (ཧ་,Ha,laughter), (ཧོ་,Ho,joy), (ཧྲཱིཿ,Hrīḥ,shame), transforming them into uncontaminated nectar. Visualize the assembly of root and lineage lamas and the ocean of Buddhas filling the sky, offering them (ཨོཾ,Oṃ,perfected), (ཨཱཿ,Āḥ,undefiled), (ཧཱུྃ,Hūṃ,immovable) in sequence with the skull cup in the left hand, causing them to rejoice. May all beings, led by those who create obstacles, perfect the two accumulations of merit and wisdom, and purify the two obscurations! Saying this, abide in emptiness. The red offering is: Visualize the illusory body and the wisdom dakini as before, appearing in the sky, the right hand holding a curved knife, peeling off the skin of the body separated from consciousness, spreading it on the ground, a field of red. Chop the head and limbs into pieces, take out the internal organs, and pile them in front, forming a mountain of flesh and bones, an ocean of blood and fat.
