And cast curses! Visualize repelling and slaying all kinds of demons and obstacles! Hold the torma as the basis of accomplishment, or throw the torma towards the enemy. If retracting, retract that torma itself. Place small tormas aside, bless them, offer them, and entrust them with the task of repelling, and beat the drum. Hūṃ! Please consider, yidam deities! Please listen, Dharma protectors! Do not blink your eyes when waving! Do not be deaf when calling! Please perform the activity of repelling and reversing! Hūṃ! Principal deity of the mandala, Heruka! Powerful Horse King! Supreme Lotus Radiant Mother! Five blood-drinking families, fathers and mothers! Vajrakumara Yamāntaka! Secret Lord, glorious Mahākāla! Vajra Garuda! Ten wrathful ones who subdue demons in the ten directions! Activity gatekeepers, four, and so on! Please arise from the vast expanse of the mandala! Oath-bound protectors, increase power! Arrogant Eight Classes, command them to work! Enjoy the flesh and blood torma feast! Accept the offering of the essence of medicine and alcohol! Subdue hateful enemies and harmful obstacles! Seize, subdue, completely bind! Expel, separate them from friends! Repel and reverse, reduce them to dust! Repel the evil magic of the Eight Classes! Repel the disturbances of the four external and internal elements! Repel curses, pegs, and bad omens! Repel diseases, demons, enemies, and harm! Repel the fear of fire, water, poison, and weapons! Repel untimely death and obstacles! Repel, repel with the red torma! Reverse, reverse the bad omens onto the enemy! Please perform the activity of repelling and reversing! Śrī padma heruka sarva samaya bhyo bhyo zlog zlog! Saying this, clap your hands and snap your fingers. Throw the torma towards the direction of the enemy and obstacles. By doing so, all adverse conditions of past karma and immediate causes will be repelled, and accomplishments will be quickly attained. This is called the ritual of the torma. Guru Padmasambhava gave it to King Trisong Detsen (790-858). It was hidden as a treasure in the red rock of Kyedkar Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) in Paro (Bhutan), which resembles a spreading flame.
