The life-essence drop of life accomplishment wisdom, The method for accomplishing the deathless vidyadhara, This unsurpassed oral transmission, By me, Padmasambhava, Was instructed to Vairochana himself, May it be used for the benefit of the future! Samaya! Therefore, after the life-establishing of the interdependent substances is well accomplished, the preliminary for accomplishing the power of the gathering of life is: Hrīḥ hrīḥ hrīḥ! To the deity of life of the three kayas, I go for refuge. For the sake of beings, I accomplish the deathless vidyadhara. May all become the field of bliss-endowed lotuses. May body and wisdom become manifest, pervasive and vast! Hrīḥ hrīḥ hrīḥ! May I, the awareness-skillful Padmakrodha, be clear. May the assembly of wrathful ones emanated from your heart, Expel all classes of obstacles to the edge of the ocean, And may the five-wisdom-endowed protection circle be spontaneously accomplished. Thus, the preliminary activities are complete. The main part, the yoga of the essence: Hrīḥ hrīḥ hrīḥ! The primordially pure, deathless, natural sphere, The wisdom awareness radiance, the palace, the expanse of great bliss, From Paṃ, a lotus; from A, on top of a moon, From Hrīḥ, myself as the Bhagavan Amitayus, Of red radiance color, blazing with marks and signs, Wearing a red silk skirt and a pañca upper garment, Adorned with jewels and precious rings on hands and feet, Adorned with a head ornament, necklace, belt, and garland, One face, two hands, holding the samadhi mudra, Holding the vase of life that condenses the essence of samsara and nirvana, In the expanse of immeasurable light and rays, The life deities, the victorious ones, gather like clouds, The assembly of messenger swift ones flicker like lightning, Blessing the three doors into body, speech, and mind.

༔ May the supreme empowerment of fivefold wisdom be perfectly accomplished! HRĪḤ HRĪḤ HRĪḤ! HRĪḤ HRĪḤ HRĪḤ! From the great bliss of the Dharmadhatu of Akanishta, I invite the assembly of deathless life deities to come forth. May the four indivisible Vajras of Samaya-wisdom remain steadfast and bestow the siddhi of life empowerment. HRĪḤ HRĪḤ HRĪḤ! Jñāna Vajra Samaya Ja Ja! Dza Hum Bam Ho! Tishta Lhan! HRĪḤ HRĪḤ HRĪḤ! Unborn, unceasing, immutable, primordially uncompounded, Self-arisen, spontaneously accomplished, may you arise as Amitayus. Like a wish-fulfilling jewel, bestow the siddhis of all desires. I prostrate to the countless life deities! Ati Puja Ho! Pratitsa Ho! HRĪḤ HRĪḤ HRĪḤ! Transforming from the Dharmadhatu by the power of aspiration, Offering actual wealth, mind-born offerings, outer, inner, and secret, And the supreme ocean of offering clouds, May all breaches of samaya and downfalls be purified, And may the supreme siddhi of life empowerment be bestowed! HRĪḤ HRĪḤ HRĪḤ! Sarva Puja Samaya Ho! Maha Amrita Rakta Balinta Khahi! HRĪḤ HRĪḤ HRĪḤ! From the primordially pure awareness, free from birth and death, Spontaneously accomplished, immutable, Samantabhadra, life deity, Wisdom, qualities, and activities are inconceivable. I prostrate and praise the glory of the perfect mandala! This is the essence of the main practice. The life-accomplishing practice of gathering and dispersing mantras: HRĪḤ HRĪḤ HRĪḤ! The life-force channel, the iron Vajra's navel center, HRĪḤ, with the red mantra garland radiating and gathering light, Gathers and condenses the essence of samsara and nirvana, dissolving into HRĪḤ. May the deathless life essence remain steadfast. HRĪḤ HRĪḤ HRĪḤ! Reciting this single-syllable mantra of fundamental awareness eight million times will accomplish the Vajra life-force channel. In the meantime, Recite this root mantra for holding and stabilizing life one hundred thousand times as well. Om Amaraṇi Jīvantaye Vajra Ayukhe Svaha! Also, recite the long life dharani and others as appropriate. To obtain siddhis, infuse the essence of life into substances such as earth and stones. Dispatching messengers to summon life: HRĪḤ HRĪḤ HRĪḤ! Blessed Lord, Protector, Wisdom Amitayus, I urge your commitment, increase the splendor of your compassion. Swift hosts who control the five elements, Radiate above, below, in all directions, pervading the vessel and its contents. Increase the life, glory, and wisdom of the yogi.
