The first is: having first mastered the four common thoughts that turn the mind, then diligently practice the uncommon preliminary practices of accumulation and purification until completing a hundred thousand or until signs appear. Then, according to the meaning of abiding, moving, determining, etc., lay the foundation with calm abiding, and make insight into one's own nature manifest, thereby making the practice of Mahamudra spontaneous union proficient. To enhance this, strive in the meditation and recitation of Vajrayogini, thereby making the wisdom of bliss and emptiness inseparable manifest. Also, train to gain stability in each of the stages of instruction on the six bardos. Integrate daily practice and ultimate conduct into the secret guru sadhana, practicing throughout one's life, thereby achieving the inseparability of the great perfection of no learning in this life. However, nowadays, due to the times and the power of diligence, it has become merely an object of practice for a few fortunate ones. Secondly, regarding the concise method of oral instructions, there is the superior one-year practice, the intermediate three-month practice, and the inferior three-week practice.
