From the throat, red rays of light emerged. They dissolved into my own throat, filling it with light. Again, from the heart, blue rays of light emerged, dissolving into the heart, filling it with light. Again, from the navel, yellow rays of light emerged. They dissolved into my own navel, filling it with light. Finally, the four lights mixed, filling the body from the crown of the head to the soles of the feet. Rest in this state. If you become tired from visualization, recite the twenty-seven-syllable mantra with its additional words. When you wish to conclude the session, visualize the longevity torma and longevity wine as the essence of the five meats and five nectars, as an ocean of nectar, and offer them as before. By offering the torma and nectar, believe that Amitayus, the lotus on the crown of the head, is pleased. Offer and praise with your mind, and after praying, the Father and Mother dissolve into yourself, generating the pride of being inseparable. Seal it with dedication. Secondly, from the approach to the vase empowerment, meditate as before. Within your own body, which is clearly visualized as the deity, in the center like a reed inserted, is the central channel, extending from the secret place to the crown of the head. The two channels, ro-rkyang, extend from below the navel to the crown of the head, with their upper ends inserted into the nostrils. There are thirty-two petals at the crown of the head, sixteen at the throat, eight at the heart, and four at the navel, each dividing into three, and each of those dividing into five, making sixty-four. This is stated in the Profound Inner Meaning. Sixty-four, thirty petals in twelve sections. Six each on the finger joints of the limbs. All the fine channels branching out from these, up to the ends of the hairs, are clear and bright like the light of the sun. Meditate on them as empty tubes. Then, from the union of the Father and Mother Guru on the crown of the head, red rays of light emanate. Invoke all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions. Visualize them entering the mouth of the Father, entering the heart, and descending from the vajra to the lotus of the Mother. Recite: Om Ah Guru Kawa Chiti Jñana Abhisincha Hum. After praying in this way, a stream of nectar flows from the union of the Father and Mother, trickling down, entering through the Brahma aperture at the crown of the head. The crown of the head, throat, heart, and navel are gradually filled. Afterwards, all the fine channels are also filled. Visualize attaining the accomplishment of immortal life. If you become tired from meditating again, recite the mantra. Offer the torma and nectar, and perform offering, praise, and prayer.

Visualize the Father and Mother deities dissolving into yourself, and dedicate the merit. Engage in the conduct between sessions. In the case of the vase empowerment and the secret empowerment, the four places, such as the crown of the head, are filled with light and nectar. The four inner empowerments of the vase empowerment and the four empowerments of the secret empowerment are also named. The practice of wisdom and knowledge is to meditate as before from the recitation to the secret empowerment. Visualize that the master on the crown of the head bestows the consort upon you, or that the Father and Mother deities dissolve into yourself, like a water bubble bursting from the water. Visualize that a white-red-clad consort holding a knife and skull cup resides in your lap, and engage in union. Visualize red rays of light emanating from the juncture of union, radiating in all directions. This is the vase empowerment. The light pervades all that is stable and moving. Meditate on the outer and inner worlds being filled with splendor. This is the secret empowerment. Gather the splendor of the outer and inner worlds and dissolve it into all parts of your body. This is wisdom and knowledge. Meditate on your own life, merit, glory, splendor, and perfection. This is the fourth empowerment. Abide in equanimity on these in sequence. The fixing of the stake of life is as follows: Again, focus the mind on the bliss of union. From the crown of the head, a stream of white bodhicitta descends, reaching to the navel chakra. The consort dissolves into red light, arising from the vajra passage. In the fire place below the navel, in the form of a red drop, it abides as if blocking the lower end of the central channel. The bodhicitta that has descended to the navel turns upwards. At the upper end of the central channel, at the Brahma aperture, it abides in the form of a white drop. Abide in equanimity for as long as possible. Then, visualize the solitary Father deity residing on your own crown of the head. Offer tormas and so forth to it. Once the Father and Mother deities have dissolved, clarify the seed syllable in the heart. With its light, invite Guru Padmasambhava and Amitayus, the Father and Mother deities. Offer tormas, nectar, and so forth as before, and conclude the session. The practice of the fourth empowerment is to meditate from the recitation to the stake of life of wisdom and knowledge. From the unborn, unchanging nature of life, if expanded, all three realms are filled with splendor. If contracted, it seizes the radiance of the three realms. The uninterrupted continuum of life, without gathering or scattering. Because it is stable, it is like the unchanging vajra seat. Because it is bound, may I obtain the indestructible vajra body. After praying in this way
