That itself is the elimination. For external and internal things, it is impossible to apply names. Therefore, for those who speak of the ultimate truth, there is nothing to be said. Even among cowherds it is well known, and it would lead to the fault of the cessation of conventions. Therefore, who would deny that in the conventional truth, sound has meaning? Therefore, relying on the conventional truth, the meaning of sound should be analyzed. Through the distinction of real and imputed, the meaning of sound is considered to be of two kinds. For the person who speaks and listens, the meaning of sound actually becomes two as well. The person who applies sound, after fully analyzing the appearance as meaning, applies names to external objects in the way of "this by this," and considers it to be so. What is the fruit of studying names? When entering into meaning from sound, due to the habitual imprints from beginningless time, even when seeing one's own appearance, it is blurred, like seeing two moons. The illusion of seeing external objects arises. Therefore, the speaker and the listener, in the way that external objects are spoken and understood, unify the meaning, thereby entering into the meaning of external objects. In order to show non-real meaning, even though all sounds have erroneous meaning, just like the truth and falsehood of dreams, from the perspective of obtaining meaning and not obtaining meaning, a distinction is made through the names of true and non-true. Therefore, for the one who enters, relying on the statement that the meaning of sound is external objects, there is no valid cognition that can harm it. If analyzed, that is also unreasonable, even if it appears to be speaking of external objects, it is actually naming the image of conceptual thought, because external objects do not appear. That itself is the meaning of sound, from the knowledge that arises from sound, whatever appears is the meaning of sound. If understood in another way, that would be endless. That is also the image of conceptual thought, there is no other that is reasonable besides the image of conceptual thought. Besides generating the image with the magical power of conceptual thought, there is no other act of speaking. Therefore, this thing that is spoken and that speaks is both the cause and the result. Understanding the image from sound, negating non-existence through implication, is also completely understandable, because names actually follow along. The contradiction with the result can be understood through implication. Following along depends on power. Due to the relationship of lineage, all speech exists without deceiving meaning. Because speech arises from experience.
