Merge into oneself. Again, as rays of light emanate, from Sukhavati, invite forth Amitabha, with a red body, holding a precious vase filled with nectar in the center of his two hands. Offer him offerings such as Argham, and pray: Please grant me empowerment. After praying in this way, the water from the vase empowers from the crown of the head, purifying all beginningless sins and obscurations. Visualize the remaining water surging upwards, with Amitabha adorning the crown of the head. Then, visualize the white seed syllable ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hrih) at your heart, with the mani mantra rotating clockwise. Meditate that all sentient beings are reciting the mani mantra following you. Recite the mani mantra as much as possible. Afterwards, expand with the dedication.

Dha. My suffering is not like this. In the three lower realms, hells have the suffering of heat and cold, hungry ghosts have the suffering of hunger and thirst, and animals have the suffering of eating each other, which is inconceivable. Humans also have the suffering of meeting enemies and being separated from loved ones, and so on, with intense suffering falling upon them, which is inconceivable. All these sentient beings are kind benefactors who have been our parents since beginningless time. Due to the accumulation of negative karma, they unwillingly experience negative consequences, just like me. How pitiful! Generate strong compassion in this way. May all the suffering and causes of suffering of all sentient beings fall upon me, and may they all be free from suffering and the causes of suffering. Think this in your heart and speak it with your mouth. Three Jewels, please listen. May I take on all the causes of suffering of all mother sentient beings, and please bless all sentient beings to be free from all causes of suffering. Pray like this from the depths of your heart. Furthermore, my suffering is the result of accumulating non-virtuous actions in the past. If I do not want to experience such suffering in the future, I should understand that this is a warning to stay away from evil. For the sins accumulated since beginningless time that I do not remember, and for the sins committed in this life that I do remember, generate strong regret like having eaten poison, and confess again and again before the Lama and the Three Jewels. From now on, even if it costs my life, I will not commit evil deeds, make a firm resolution. In order to purify past sins, strive to engage in virtuous actions with body, speech, and mind. Second, there are three points on transforming suffering into the path through the perspective of ultimate Bodhicitta. First, introducing Dharmakaya: Now there is a feeling of suffering. If there is suffering, is it the suffering of your own body or the suffering of your mind? The body is an inanimate object, like a corpse, so there is nothing to suffer. As for the mind, the past has ceased, the future has not yet arisen, and the present mind does not exist anywhere inside or outside the body. It has not formed any entity of color or shape, so there is nothing to suffer. The feeling of suffering now is like being burned by fire or swept away by water in a dream.

It seems that the reason is clinging to the deluded appearance as true. Now, having recognized the nature of mind as unborn, one should keep the mind evenly in the state of unborn nature. Second, introducing suffering as the Sambhogakaya: Again, rising from that Samadhi, this very mind that appears as suffering, thinking of it as the white syllable "Hrih (ཧྲིཿ, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanization: hrīḥ, meaning: Great Compassion)" with a sharp point, meditate and recite Avalokiteshvara as before, or this very suffering that is given, meditate on Jowo Thukje Chenpo (Lord of Great Compassion) with one face and four arms. Meditate on the outer world as a celestial palace, the inner sentient beings as Thukje Chenpo, and all sounds that arise as the sound of Mani, and recite "Om (ༀ, Devanagari: ओम्, Romanization: oṃ, meaning: Homage) Mani (म, Devanagari: मणि, Romanization: maṇi, meaning: Jewel) Padme (णि, Devanagari: पद्मे, Romanization: padme, meaning: Lotus) Hum (द्मे, Devanagari: हुम्, Romanization: hūṃ, meaning: Seed Syllable)" many times, this is introducing suffering as the Sambhogakaya. Do it! Third, introducing suffering as the Nirmanakaya: This very mind that appears as suffering, since it appears in various ways without ceasing, is regarded as the Nirmanakaya. Furthermore, since the mind is unborn, it is the Dharmakaya; since it is unceasing, it is the Sambhogakaya; since it is non-abiding, it is the Nirmanakaya. These three are inseparable on the mind, and are called the Svabhavikakaya. Here, it is also called "Taking Joy and Suffering onto the Path." It is also called "One-Session Mind Training." It is also called "The Instruction of Introducing the Four Kayas." It is said that this is a single Dharma that is concise in words but profound in meaning. This was given in Sengge Khar in Kyidrong (སྐྱིད་གྲོང་, now Gyirong County, Tibet) of Mangyul to some seekers who requested it. The lineage of this is: Panchen Shakya Shri, Khrophu Lotsawa, Bodong Rinpoche, Rinpoche Sherbumpa, Gyalwai Seupo Thogme, who gave it to Zhonnu Lodro myself. Also, the translator gave it to Khenpo Jangchub Pal, who gave it to Khenpo Dewa Pal, who gave it to Khenpo Kajiwa Drakpa Zhonnu, who gave it to Khenpo Sonam Drakpa, who gave it to Gyalwai Seupo Thogme Zangpo Pal, who gave it to Pal Reddawa Zhonnu Lodro, who gave it to Khenchen Rinpoche Je Kanga Ngaipa Paljor Sherabpa. May it be virtuous! May it be virtuous! The pith instructions on taking joy and sorrow onto the path.
