At that time, King's daughter, Padma Selna, at noon, the king received a messenger inviting him. When the king arrived, he found that it was a demonic illness that had flared up. In order to seek blessings, he rode a white mare. He went to Guru's place to seek blessings. At that time, Yeshe Tsogyal was meditating, and semen was ejaculated onto her right cheek, and rainbow light appeared. Her body trembled and swayed, so she stopped meditating and looked. She heard the sound of two horses trotting in her ears. While meditating in a state of equanimity, a gold brick fell on her head. It was right there in the mandala ornaments in front of the teacher. Thinking that she was being called to go, she went. At the entrance of the cave (204a), a horse was tied on each side, left and right. In front of the teacher was the goddess Padma Sel, who had died at the age of eight. At that time, the king himself had also fainted. The woman of low intelligence, Yeshe Tsogyal, asked: Is it a disease, or what happened to the father and son? The teacher said: Don't be so anxious. Help the king up. Tsogyal lifted the king up from his head with a white silk cloth. She said: Your Majesty, please rise. The king then woke up. The king saw the corpse of Lotus Light Consort. Tears filled his face, and he cried out in lamentation. The teacher said to the king: Conditioned phenomena are not permanent, they will be destroyed by causes and conditions. Those who are born will eventually die, and those who gather will eventually separate. All conditioned phenomena in the world are like this. You must work hard in practice and maintain awareness. Tomorrow, you, the king, will also pass away. After that, the king clenched his teeth and stood up. He offered a box filled with gold and jewels to the teacher. He sought a skull as a ritual implement to offer. Alas! Great Vidyadhara Teacher! If all conditioned phenomena are impermanent, then what about the temple that is the foundation of the Dharma? Who will inherit the source of suffering, the throne? My daughter (204b) Lotus Light Consort, accumulated merit in her previous life and met me. She met translators, pandits, and accomplished ones like you. If one does not accumulate merit, one's lifespan will not be long, and the time spent together will be short. What are the causes and conditions that lead to death? What is the karmic connection between me and my father? Where will she be reborn in the future? Will she be able to be reborn in the heavens or attain Bodhi? Please, great Guru Padmasambhava, speak. The teacher remained silent. After that, the king asked to speak again.
