The method of offering substances is also like the evening. May auspiciousness increase. It lasts for three days. Two sessions are done in between. A single seat is not needed. If tea is needed, if there are many monks, it is sufficient to go as needed by rotation. Silence is maintained until the final ritual is completed. The text on burnt offerings is according to what was composed by Yongdzin Konchok Lhundrup. This is the method of offering burnt substances at the intervals of the number of mantras recited while sprinkling on the tongue. Alas! This is the unerring guide to the practice of Vajra burnt offering. All burnt offerings can be explained by this. These are the explanations of how the practice of Vajrakilaya and Vajra burnt offering, as it appears in the actual handwriting of the one named Jetsun Drakpa, has been taught. Next, explaining the meaning that extends from that. Second, explaining the meaning that extends from that: As explained above, this practice of Vajrakilaya and Vajra burnt offering is the unerring practice of the great vidyadhara fathers and sons, so from now on, all practitioners should practice in this way, without mixing in other things. If someone does not understand the meaning of other scriptures and blindly follows the words of foolish old men, then the Lord of Dharma, the Vidyadhara, said: 'The practice of the guru, what the guru does, seeing it done and doing it.' Hypocrites, self-deceivers. Control your mind, keep your senses. Like this, being self-righteous, acting lightly, and to cover up their ignorance, claiming that all the deceased gurus said so, this is slandering the guru.' Therefore, be wary of many such people appearing, and it is important for intelligent seekers of meaning not to follow the path of fools lifting up idiots. Nowadays, the reason why we usually perform the Sakya's 'Four White Offerings' (Dkar Chawa Zhi) mind-seal torma ritual without finishing the food or on an empty stomach is: At that time, it is necessary to perform it on an empty stomach, because the torma is offered to the pretas with the mantra of Surupa. As it says in its own text: 'It should be offered before eating.' The reason is that even if a yogi offers torma with the mantra of Surupa after eating, the pretas cannot bear the radiance and essence of the food, so they cannot receive the torma. Therefore, if the 'Four White Offerings' (Dkar Chawa Zhi) are not performed on an empty stomach... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, is this the only principle? Are other practices like water offerings, Naga offerings, and the Hundred Offerings, also free from time constraints like being done on an empty stomach? This is because, in the Naga offering text composed by a great Vidyadhara (持明者,holder of knowledge), it says: 'When the self-generation of the Naga offering is accomplished, if you regularly perform the Four White Offerings, do it at this time. Even if you don't, there is no fault, and it can be omitted.' Since this is the case, should we also think that water offerings, etc., must be done on an empty stomach? The Vidyadhara's own statement means: 'Those who regularly perform the Four White Offerings, if they have not completed it before, and combine it with the Naga offering, do it at this time.' This does not mean that water offerings, Naga offerings, etc., must be done on an empty stomach. Understanding this only requires reading the previous text once. When performing water offerings and Naga offerings, not touching alcohol before the offerings are completed is the unerring tradition of the previous Lamas. I hope that future followers will not make it too simple or casual.' The above is a well-spoken explanation with some extended meaning, called 'Necessary for Benefit Seekers'. This text, arising from the teachings of lineage holders like the emanation of Manjushri (妙音菩萨,Bodhisattva of Wisdom) and Gyalwa Muspa Chenpo Buddha (རྒྱལ་བ་མུས་པ་ཆེན་པོ་བུདྡྷ,Rgyal ba mus pa chen po bUddha,Great Buddha Muspa), was carefully written by the Sakya non-celibate Vidyadhara Ngawang Kunga Sonam (ངག་དབང་ཀུན་དགའ་བསོད་ནམས,Ngag dbang kun dga' bsod nams) to benefit his fortunate disciples, such as the son of lineage Ngawang Sonam Wangchuk (ངག་དབང་བསོད་ནམས་དབང་ཕྱུག,Ngag dbang bsod nams dbang phyug). The scribe, Tsocopa Miwang Namgyal Dorje (མཚོ་སྒོ་བ་མི་དབང་རྣམ་རྒྱལ་རྡོ་རྗེ,Mtsho sgo ba mi dbang rnam rgyal rdo rje), with clear eyes of wisdom in both worldly and Dharma matters, created it through the movement of his fingers. May the power of the merits of the three times, Represented by this virtuous act, purify all karmic obscurations, afflictions, and sins of myself and others. May we have long life, health, and fulfill our wishes in this life. May we be reborn together in a pure land in the next life. May it be so! May it never change! Sarva Mangalam (梵文:Sarva Mangalam, सर्व मङ्गलम्,sarva maṅgalam,All auspiciousness)! Checked once. According to the wishes of Khenchen Aped Rinpoche (མཁན་ཆེན་ཨ་པད་རིན་པོ་ཆེ,Mkhan chen a pad rin po che), served by Guru (གུ་རུ,Gu ru,Guru,Teacher). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
