安住于良好姿势，呼出浊气，先行皈依发心，刹那间观想自己显明为圣者，遣除无明黑暗，于其心间，观想怙主无量光寿（阿弥陀佛）现前，于其心间，在日轮中央，观想心之种子，自性为自明之红色光芒具足的ཧྲཱིཿ（藏文，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，汉语字面意思：啥），具有点、弯月和长钩。于其周围，观想ཨཱོཾ་ཨ་མི་དྷེ་ཝ་ཛྙ་ན་སརྦ་ཚེ་བྷྲཱུྃ་སིདྡྷི་སྭཱ་ཧཱ༔（藏文，梵文天城体：嗡 阿弥爹哇 嘉纳 萨哇 泽 吽 悉地 梭哈，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ amīdeva jñāna sarva tshe bhrūṃ siddhi svāhā，汉语字面意思：嗡，无量光，智慧，一切，寿命，吽，成就，梭哈）等咒字，以右旋方式旋转，从中发出声音，清晰可闻，思维不散乱，一心念诵十万遍之后，从自己心间的长寿佛三处，特别是ཧྲཱིཿ（藏文，梵文天城体：ह्रीः，梵文罗马拟音：hrīḥ，汉语字面意思：啥）字和咒字等处，发出如太阳光芒般的光芒，照射到十方，将轮涅三道的慈悲加持、寿命福德、财富权势全部如磁石吸铁般聚集，融入心间的种子字，自己的身语意三门等，以白黄红绿等光芒的形式，丝丝融入，使自己的生命力衰损全部得以圆满，能力和光彩更加增长，思维获得不死持明寿命之成就，念诵以上心咒一百零八遍之后，将本尊身、咒轮等融入光明，观想与自己无二无别，如水乳交融，片刻安住于无所缘的大手印之中。此乃修持三日，可消除一切寿命障碍，精进修持七日，可恢复衰损的生命力，若能每月每年坚持不断修持，定能获得寿命成就，寿命圆满无疑。梦中也会出现饮用颅碗酒，善良女子给予食物衣物，穿上盔甲战胜敌人，佩戴饰品沐浴，敲击城堡等特殊征兆。秘密修持长寿法，于黎明寂静之时，以具足身七支坐法之姿安住，观想三脉四轮清晰，顶轮的ཧཾ་（藏文，梵文天城体：हं，梵文罗马拟音：haṃ，汉语字面意思：航）字为怙主长寿佛之体性，阿夏（Āśā）为明妃，观想为智慧空行母，显现乐空之火，降提均衡。

In your heart, visualize the protector Amitayus vividly. In the center of the sun disc in his heart, visualize the seed syllable of his mind, the essence of self-awareness, the red and radiant letter ཧྲཱིཿ (Tibetan, Devanagari: ह्रीः, Romanized Sanskrit: hrīḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hrih), complete with a dot, crescent moon, and long hook. All deficiencies in your life force are completely replenished, and your power and glory greatly increase. Think that you have attained the deathless vidyadhara's accomplishment of life. After reciting the above essence mantra one hundred and eight times, the deity's form and mantra wheel dissolve into light. Contemplate that you are inseparable from them, like water mixed with milk. For a moment, rest in equanimity in the state of the unconditioned Great Seal. By meditating on this for three days, all obstacles to life will be cleared. If you strive for seven days, your diminished life force will be restored. If you practice continuously every month and year, you will undoubtedly attain the accomplishment of life and complete your lifespan. In dreams, you will have special omens such as drinking from a skull cup, a virtuous woman giving you food and clothing, wearing armor and winning battles, wearing ornaments and taking a bath, and striking a castle. The secret practice of longevity is as follows: At the peaceful time of dawn, abide in the posture with the seven characteristics of the body. Visualize the three channels and four chakras clearly. The syllable ཧཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ham) at the crown of your head is the essence of the protector Amitayus. Āśā is the consort, visualized as the wisdom dakini, manifesting the bliss-emptiness fire, the descending and balancing of bliss.

Meditate on its own nature. When exhaling through the nostrils, countless and immeasurable rays of light emanate from the body, speech, and mind of Amitayus, the father and mother, pervading all of samsara and nirvana. When inhaling, all the compassion, blessings, power, and qualities of all of them are gathered, dripping into the channels, chakras, and bindus, like water droplets. Meditate that life, merit, wealth, and realization all increase and develop like the waxing moon. Hold your breath for no less than seven or three times, and finally seal it with non-objectification. Abide equally in emptiness, and strive for physical exercises, etc., to attain the accomplishment of the vidyadhara of life. The karmic winds are purified into the central channel, and the thoughts of habitual patterns cease. All that is contaminated is liberated into the uncontaminated, and the eight common siddhis are manifested. Because the channels, winds, and bindus are workable, all the wisdom and worldly dakinis accompany you like body and shadow. The goddess of life, along with her retinue, removes obstacles and effortlessly bestows the accomplishment of life. Thus, the profound life practice is the treasure of the heart, gathering many essences, relying on the intention of the tantras. This is a heart instruction that is small in effort and great in meaning, written by Padmasambhava for the benefit of future generations. In the degenerate age of the five hundred, may it, upon encountering a son with karma, dispel the obstacles of those who possess the Dharma.
