Regarding the characteristics of faults and merits, and the self-nature recognition of self and others, such things never occur in the continuum of worldly beings. Because the roots of virtue are not defiled by the ignorance of clinging to characteristics, in order to attain complete purity, this non-conceptual wisdom is the most important and supreme among the countless skillful means of the Great Vehicle path. Therefore, this Bodhicitta is, because it truly grasps all the Dharma of the path, such as generosity, with non-conceptual wisdom, therefore, whatever virtuous deeds such as generosity are done from the three doors of body, speech, and mind, all will become completely pure, and will transcend the immeasurable and boundless merits, thereby attaining Buddhahood. What makes generosity and other immeasurable dharmas vast, profound, and pure is non-conceptual wisdom, that is, the Prajnaparamita. Therefore, only generosity and other practices that are grasped by it can obtain the name of transcendent Paramita. Let alone worldly dharmas, even Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas do not have such merits. After summarizing the meaning of the chapter on having skillful means with pith instructions, Gyalwa (Victorious One) Longchenpa said, if all the roots of virtue are grasped by the three supremes, they can be transformed into the Mahayana path. What is said here is that, the preliminary practice of supreme Bodhicitta, the main practice of supreme non-objectification, and the subsequent practice of supreme dedication, if one possesses these three, one will not be weary of the Mahayana path, and will abandon clinging to the Hinayana path, and it includes the three meanings of being grasped by non-conceptual wisdom. Therefore, if all the virtuous paths such as generosity made by the three doors of body, speech, and mind of a Bodhisattva are grasped by this key point, they can be transformed into the Mahayana path. The explanation of the sixteenth chapter, the chapter on actions with skillful means, from the Ornament of the Mahayana Sutras is completed. Chapter Sixteen: The Chapter on Actions with Skillful Means.
