The life of an obstacle, or is it said to be the life of a wise one? Or, attachment is the life of life, abiding is the life of meaning, delusion is the life of mind. Among these three, the first is the life of oneself and the enemy, the second is the mind of the Sugatas, and the third is the life of the arrogant of the world. Or, divide into four lives: the life of a yogi, the life of a wisdom deity, the life of a oath-bound worldly being, and the life of an enemy demon. The first is: from the vastness of Dharmata, where various memories and awarenesses appear unceasingly. The second is: all Sugatas do not go beyond the five of body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities, and do not abandon them, therefore it is life. The third is: abiding in the teachings, not forgetting the intention of the mind, performing the work of exhortation, possessing a samaya that does not transgress. The fourth is: a life that is involuntarily summoned by messengers and can be killed and cut off. Third, there are two methods for seizing the essence of life: the essence and the method for seizing it. First, there are four essences: involuntarily engaging in practice is the essence of the life of a yogi; the mantra that involuntarily urges the continuity of the samaya is the essence of the life of a wisdom deity; the mantra that involuntarily urges the entrusted activity is the essence of the life of a oath-bound worldly being; the messenger quickly summons and draws from the root of life is the essence of the life of an enemy demon. Second, the method for seizing the essence of life is: seize the outer life with mantra, seize the inner life with samadhi, and seize the secret life with profound view and meditation. Having explained the meaning of life in this way, there are three ways to practice it: driving in the four pegs that do not change life, explaining the eleven ways of holding life, and showing the measure of having held life. First, driving in the four pegs is: driving in the peg that does not change view and meditation, driving in the peg that does not change samadhi, driving in the peg that does not change essence, and driving in the peg that does not change activity. Second, the eleven ways of holding are: holding the life of the fruition body and wisdom with the ultimate view; holding that life with the secret instructions of mantra; holding that life with the tantra class; holding that life with the practice of peaceful and wrathful deities; holding that life with the two stages of generation and completion; holding that life with empowerment; holding that life with...

Grasped by words. Grasped by its life-mind. Grasped by its life-samadhi. Grasped by its life-diligence. Grasped by its life's clarity of the three realms. Third, regarding the degree of grasping the life, there are also three: the degree of knowing the life, the degree of grasping the life, and the degree of obtaining the life. These are categorized as such. Furthermore, incidentally, the distinctions of the three deities are: generally, there are deities of suchness of dharmata, deities of the nature of wisdom, and deities of the characteristics of these. But here, there are three: the deity of the giant of view, the deity of the power of antidote, and the deity as messenger. First, the deity of view refers to the intention of realizing the reality of suchness, and its object of realization is, as Bodhisattva Vajra Dharma said: "Other than the aggregates, elements, and sources, from the beginning, uncreated, is the nature of the deity." Thus, "The nature of mind in various ways, all phenomena that appear and exist, naturally pure is the realm of the deity, the play of the deity is the body of the deity." Second, the deity of antidote, such as the peaceful and wrathful deities said to be the antidote for subduing those with desire and hatred. In particular, in the "Heart Essence" it says: "The union of self-nature antidote is, Sugata wisdom is the deity, the eight classes each have their own antidote." Therefore, just as Manjushri Yamantaka is praised as the antidote for the Matrikas and planets, and Hayagriva as the antidote for demons and kings. Third, the deity of the messenger refers to the oath-bound worldly arrogant eight classes, for example, praising the king as the messenger who sends madness to the enemy, and praising the Naga as the messenger who sends leprosy. This was said by Dharmashri. Auspicious! Auspicious!
