Look upwards. Relax and maintain awareness, and if knowledge is scattered and active, then lower the posture, relax and maintain. If dullness and activity occur alternately, then adjust the posture directly. On any object, practice alternately tightening and relaxing awareness, this is the third method. Finally, the four things related to post-meditation are: Like the Heart Sutra, recite the sutra, and mix with the three natural states. Likewise, like the mani, recite the mantra that is easy to recite and mix. Say unimportant things yourself, or sit in the gaps of others' random speech, and mix speech with the three natural states. Walk comfortably around the place with four kinds of behavior, and mix without shame or embarrassment when urinating and defecating. And sleeping and eating, etc., mix all behaviors with the three natural states and practice. Second, learning to be without support: In the three natural states, fix the gaze in the middle of the empty space between the eyebrows, do not judge that it is somewhere, do not think that it is somewhere, do not grasp anything, relax without artificiality, let the awareness be clear, and continue in a state of non-thought. In short, if any object of the six senses appears in a state of clarity and awareness without attachment or grasping, then recognize that "my preliminary practice has arisen spontaneously," and let it go loosely without clinging. Second, regarding enhancement, there are three ways: through devotion, compassion, and method. Devotion is: Pray to the lama, let the door of awareness of devotion and longing be unobstructed, and continue in a state of non-attachment to self. Compassion is: Generate compassion for sentient beings who do not know their own nature, let the radiance of self-nature be uninterrupted, and let go in a state of non-attachment. There are three methods: mix the clear-empty deity visualization with gentle wind; hold the breath slightly in the natural Mahamudra state, mix ordinary consciousness with wind; and mix the union deity visualization with gentle wind, these are the three meditations. These goals do not necessarily need to be perfectly aligned. In short, the standard of preliminary practice is: ordinary consciousness arises naturally without artificiality. The standard of its stability is: not being distracted by the actions of body and speech. Second, the self-liberation of the four faults of the main practice: In the three natural states,

Release without restraint, deconstruct without clinging and abide. When the mind is free from the obscurations of grasping and fixation, like the autumn sky free from clouds, the appearance of awareness is naked and clear without any fixation. This is the ordinary consciousness free from mental fabrication. By recognizing the self-nature of luminosity and emptiness, free from grasping, one is liberated from the fault of not seeing due to being too close. By ascertaining that one's own mind is the luminous Dharmakaya, one is liberated from the fault of not believing due to being too easy. By holding onto the ordinary consciousness free from mental fabrication with unforgetting mindfulness, one is liberated from the fault of not recognizing due to the method being too strong. By generating certainty in the Dharmakaya from the self-illuminating ordinary consciousness that is nowhere to be found, one is liberated from the fault of not being able to contain it in the mind due to being too good. Third, the subsequent three Kayas arise naturally: The non-conceptual state that is clear and free from grasping is the Dharmakaya (Tibetan: ཆོས་སྐུ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: धर्मकाय, Sanskrit Romanization: dharmakāya, Literal Chinese meaning: Dharma Body). That which arises as the self-sound of bliss is the Sambhogakaya. That which appears in various forms is the Nirmanakaya. These three are inseparable in nature, therefore it is the ultimate body of great bliss. In short, the self-arising ordinary consciousness free from mental fabrication is the intention of the Buddhas of the three times. Regarding the recognition of one's own mind as the unborn Dharmakaya, there is no ultimate refuge other than this. One should firmly establish this conviction, generate certainty, and practice without distraction. The key points of the Great Seal Gauma's meditation were compiled into a reminder note by Shubhamastu. Dharma Shri.
