He is the reincarnation of the great charioteer, King Trisong Detsen, who newly introduced the Buddha's teachings to this snowy land. A fully ordained monk and Vajradhara who has entered the Buddhist order. In general, he is a great scholar who has mastered both Sutra and Tantra, as well as all fields of knowledge, and in particular, has crossed the ocean of the Early Translation School's Kama and Terma teachings. Due to excellent karmic connections, he received the teachings of his own Terma. In short, through the perfection of the three aspects of learning, contemplation, and meditation, he liberated his own mind-stream. In terms of benefiting others, he is the great Pandit of Ngari Gungtang, Padma Wangyal Dorje Drakpa Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo, who has mastery over the activities of teaching, debating, and writing. From the venerable one, who is renowned for his wisdom and the fearlessness of liberation, this extraordinary treatise on the three vows was composed. This treatise was transmitted from his own brother, the Vidyadhara master, to the Northern Lords, father and sons, to Chöwang Lhündrub, and to Sangdak Trinley Lhündrub, in successive order. Then, our root guru, who knows all knowable things and has attained accomplishment through the path of Vajrayana, is a true guide on the path, the Great Tertön Chökyi Gyalpo, whose name is difficult to pronounce, heard it. This is the transmission of the scriptures. The order of transmission of each of the three vows will be explained in their respective sections.
