Furthermore, since one wishes to attain the supreme state of enlightenment, the glorious Vajrasattva, in this very life, it is necessary to diligently engage in the practice of familiarization with the profound tantras. Having firmly resolved this, I will briefly outline what should be adopted and abandoned by those who enter this Tantric College. Just as one should not return empty-handed after arriving at a treasure island, now, at this time when the conditions for hearing, contemplating, and meditating on the essence of the teachings, the profound tantric system, are fully assembled, one should generate unwavering faith and diligence, and cultivate a spirit of perseverance without indifference or neglect until one's own aspirations are fulfilled. Based on maintaining constant conduct and discipline, the following should be particularly emphasized and diligently undertaken: Upon the initial announcement of the Dharma, one should refrain from loud noises and laughter." 学", "english_translation": "etc., and gather with mindfulness while quietly reciting the dhāraṇī for subduing the armies of demons. Even after gathering, one should abandon the faults of the body, such as lying down, leaning, stretching legs, and dozing off; abandon the faults of speech, such as harsh words, idle talk, arguing, and loud noises; and abandon the faults of the mind, such as being disturbed by strong attachment and aversion. Abandoning all the negative actions of the three doors (body, speech, and mind), with faith in the virtuous teacher who expounds the Dharma and with a strong desire to attain liberation, one should prostrate at the beginning and end of the Dharma session, and without deviating from the yoga of taking the meaning to heart as it arises from the instructions on maṇḍala and tantric teachings, one should listen attentively with a mind focused on the words and meanings, pleasing to the mind, through the conduct of the three doors with reverence. Furthermore, during conversations with each other, one should not engage in playful behavior, loud laughter, or frivolous talk, nor should one expose others' faults with hatred. Instead, one should engage in debates that demonstrate the wisdom and ability of scripture and reasoning, in accordance with the Dharma. Although the general review is conducted by the Khenpo (or teacher), in the intervals between those sessions, one should also rely on a virtuous teacher or a reliable person who is knowledgeable in the Dharma being taught as a friend, and strive to dispel doubts through guidance and review, ensuring that the years of study and hearing are not wasted but are used to strike at the essential points.
